Was out swimming with a friend in Hua Hin about 15 yrs ago. He emerged from under water with what I thought from a distance was a baby jellyfish stuck to his shoulder. It was a used condom.

And also the impending death of Thai tourism.?

This will never happen because Thailand is the only place in the world where a fat, old and ugly  foreigner can find female company .

More like the impending death of humankind due to global vaccination programmes, geoengineering (chemtrail aerosol spraying), GMO food, fluoride added to water, school milk, table salt and tooth paste, etc.,  in order to drastically reduce the world population. The dead whales are the proverbial canary in the coalmine. Unfortunately most people are oblivious to what is going on.

Your comment implies that someone is in "control".

There is no control, only chaos.......that which "normal" human beings fear above all else.

The notion that an entity, individual or organisation is in control and that "it can all be fixed" is a myth that Priests and Politicians have fed on for millennia, flourishing on the desperate craving that individuals have for "certainty".

You're no different, your desperate craving is for the certainty of "conspiracy".

The latest generation of "Holy/Wise Men" with all the answers and a promise of everlasting "salvation/improvement"?...........Scientists.

Have you ever looked around the back of a Thai village?  Plastic bags and bottles everywhere.

They could at least keep their own backyards clean.

It was meant to be a sarcastic miserable joke. LOL

Yeah, I´ve seen it and it´s terrible!

In all probability, it's their version of recycling.

You will see such dumps all over Thailand and if you have one nearby, you will see that occasionally, lorries turn up and cart some away.

Where there's muck, there's Money!

You may see piles of glass bottles too, cos there's money in them too!

What I find disturbing is that Thai's don't seem to care about their neighbours because, slap bang next to a nice house, set in it's own grounds, with it's own property wall:
You may see a huge dump of plastic waste and other recycling materials.

Lovely places for vermin to live......

Educate your population to stop dumping their sh** wherever they want.

This is a stunningly beautiful country, but sadly its becoming a dirty, nasty sh** hole, and it's completely unavoidable.

A committee needs to be formed to investigate the impact of marine life relieving themselves in the ocean.

Yes it's a mystery, what can be wrong????

Lest we forget   Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster

That's what I thought, after watching a documentary on Fukushima on RT at the moment this under rated played down accident is polluting the ocean the land and the air at a massive rate, the fallout is drifting over to Canada, they say the whole world will be affected by this.

And Thailand is not alone with a sick ocean the whole worlds oceans are sick with plastic and oil and chemicals, plus turds being spewed into it every day.

Plastic when it breaks into small particles is being consumed by fish and then we eat the fish, Plastic is one of the worst things in this world, I can not believe how much goes into the trash at our house every day, just open a water bottle and you have the seal to trash and then the bottle it is crazy.

At least Thailand recycle the water bottles ,but packaging, and straws wrapped in plastic are going into the trash at alarming rates.

God help this world.

In my village in Isaan it is kept clean, no backyard rubbish, twice a year there is also a beautify the village effort from all the inhabitants where undergrowth is cut short and any rubbish that is found is collected, even trees behind the village shop have wickerwork boarders around them. Maybe some of the mumbo jumbo plays a part in this, there is a yearly procession around the village where the villagers pray to the land spirits at certain points, respect for the land ?

There is nothing wrong with the sea. There is too much salt water in the garbage dump and sewage plant!

God won't help because we broke the contract. You can however, by stop drinking water from bottles! Distill your own and you'll have clean and pure drinking water and stop with supporting the most stupid industry of making drinking water in plastic bottles.

I was drunk and don't remember signing

Now I wait for an official statement:

"It was Olga and other tourists who poisoned the whales feeding them mouldy bread smuggled in from Russia."

If only this conspiracy theory crap was true because it is the human race that is destroying it's only home; this beautiful, unique planet Earth. This Earth cannot sustain more and more people living Western Consumer and greed driven lifestyles draining its resources and killing all other species and polluting and poisoning the environment which feeds and sustains us all., e.g., http://www.dw.com/en/sand-a-dwindling-resource/av-37865643

Drastic population control is required but it will not happen. Most people and those in power stubbornly refuse to realise and  accept that it is not 'all about us' and money. But the dark clouds of Gaia are gathering. One way or another the human race is in for a huge cull. Once that happens our Earth can and will recover and be much better off without us. I take solace in this:

Yes its filthy and extremely polluted that's why I will never swim in it, or eat thai seafood.  Waste and sewage is drained directly into the sea, when you treat your environment as a toilet what do you expect.

Explains why there is a starfish in my toilet..

There is nothing wrong with the sea.  It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.  There's something wrong with the people taking care of it.  That's like pointing to an abused child who's misbehaving and saying there's something wrong with that child.  No.  It's the abusive parents.

A monster in the making lurking in the deep blue sea and the air we breath. I think part of this disaster is being covered up because they the Japanese have simply run out of options.

Well I for one will be happy if this leads to a reduction in tourism, which will mean cheaper hotel rooms, less crowded and cleaner beaches. But Thailand definitely has 'something' as the tourist numbers go up every year. In reality the whales might have been anywhere around the globe, Fukushima for example, and got an overdose of radiation. Next step: form a committee with some sib-committees.

There have been several reports recently saying the waters around Thailand are seriously polluted, so it is no surprise that things swimming in it are dying.

Thailand is barely acknowledging the problem, far less doing anything about it, so expect to hear more reports of dead fish/whales soon.

And dead tourists, especially off Koh Tao
