This pilot was once known as Miss Thailand

BANGKOK: -- There are 10 women captains flying AirAsia’s fleet in Thailand, and Captain Chananporn Rosja must be the most famous of them all.

She is also the fairest; after all she has the Miss Thailand/Universe 2005 crown to rule them all. Her story is well known not only in Thailand but also in the region for she has been written about quite a bit.

The buzz around Chananporn has quietened quite a bit and most people would probably not recognise the beauty queen pilot in her uniform.

So... brains and beauty eay? rare combinations in this country, you go girl....

I agree and have to admire her for following her ideal as being a pilot which must be very stressful at times.  Instead that is of going on to modelling and other entertainment roles like acting in a Thai soap that really does not require much of anything.

Congratulations to her - its a hard but satisfying effort to become an airline captain. There are now many all female crews on the flight deck, which is then  known as the box office not the cockpit (told to me by a female captain).

She could play with my joystick anytime.

Good to see her doing well for herself.

Like her aircraft, could you rise to the occasion and gain altitude?

So what are her connections ?

Does she need anything other than intelligence, education and an ability to perform this demanding occupation to a high standard?

Nice to see a positive thread with mostly positive replies. Good on her.

High time to bring the tone down a notch or two...

'No, but seriously, love, who really is flying this plane...?'

I'm sure you are joking, hence the emoticon, so.......

Is it too much to expect that she is actually an airline pilot and can fly an aircraft?

Probably the same way these ladies fly  jets for the RTAF.

'Hell's bells! Duck when you are near the airport, eh, lads...!' (Nudge, belch, swig beer from bottle, scratch privates...)

It requires a substantial bag of money - as all of these 'actresses' have to undergo multiple plastic surgery in order to qualify. Some of them don't even look like people anymore - and can often be seen in the high-end shopping malls in central BKK.

Check out the 'before and after' pics of these ladies and you will be amazed.

Hopefully they don't get a pilots license the same way the police get their positions.

Don't get your hopes up too far donx. money and influence counts 90% here

Being ex-RAF i am fully aware of that.

It was meant as a joke, she can play with my yoke, dont have the same ring to it.

Only one wing.... I thought pilots needed two wings.
