Dmaxdan
I met George Harrison at a historic motor racing meeting in England. It was only about a year before his death and he didn't look well. We did get is autograph, but we asked him to sign it on behalf of a friend who is a huge Beatles fan.

RuamRudy
Glastonbury, '94 or '95 while waiting for Blur to come on stage, a short, reddish haired guy appeared before me in the crowd, maybe about 2m away. Our eyes locked for some reason and I recognised him as Thom Yorke from the, then, lesser known Radiohead. Someone behind me shouted 'Oi, it's the 'head! Let's bottle him' and he disappeared into the throng...

She didn't want to bother him and I certainly didn't care. Maybe it was because it was a temple, but the Thais didn't really bother him. bannork
I met Princess Anne's Bentley on a street in Hull back in 72 and nearly got killed for it. The police had closed the road waiting for her motorcade to pass, but being young and reckless, I made a dash for it across the road, just missing her front bumper. There were a few gasps from the crowd and a policeman wagged his finger at me but luckily I was safe. Princess Anne was famous in those days for her sharp tongue, she once told some reporters to 'naff off!' What a great high-so expression!
