British sweethearts now love Thailand as much as each other after bag return!

PHUKET: -- Two British sweethearts will never forget their trip to Phuket after an honest taxi driver returned their bag containing 70,000 baht in cash yesterday.

 

Daily News reported that the "British sweethearts" were on holiday at the Merlin Resort. They ordered a taxi to take them to the bus station and after paying and leaving the cab realized they left their bag.

 

Daniel McNeil and his girlfriend Apple, 25, stayed calm and called tourist police on 1155.

 

Just moments before taxi driver Ratchapark Tanseksiri, 50, had called in himself with a bag containing Thai and foreign currency.

 

The grateful tourists were soon reunited with their valuables at Tourist Police 2 in Phuket.

 

Tourist police praised the driver for helping with Thailand's image and said the tourists were bound to come back to Phuket.

 

Daily News said the tourists were in tears of joy and were very grateful to Ratchapark for his honesty and kindness.

 

They did not report if a reward was given or where in the UK Mr McNeil and his girlfriend hail from.

I see a photo of a group of people absolutely squirming at the thought of having to hand the cash back to it's rightful owner.

 

Well the truth is I don't believe these stories.
