Red Bull heir Boss tight lipped in London about return to Thailand

Boss's bodyguards try to stop reporters in London

BANGKOK: -- Jet setting fugitive Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya was pictured at an address in London on Wednesday.

The playboy Red Bull heir wanted in connection with the death of a policeman in Bangkok five years ago refused to answer reports questions about whether he would to return to Thailand later this month to face prosecutors.

Thai Rath said that AP reporters also asked him what he was doing in London to which they also got no reply.

His lawyers had told prosecutors in Bangkok last week that he had business to attend to in London and thus did not show for a hearing.

The hearing has been put back to April 27th, the latest of four major delays in the case that has rumbled on for 5 years.

Boss, now 31, was driving his Ferrari when he allegedly hit and dragged Vichian Klanprasert, 47, under the wheels of his car without stopping. He is wanted for alleged negligent driving causing death and fleeing the scene of an accident.

The grandson of the co-founder of the energy drinks empire Red Bull, Boss has been jet setting all over the world in his private plane.

Prosecutors in Bangkok have said that no more excuses for non-attendance will be made on April 27th when a formal warrant for his arrest is expected to be issued.

This is all a show paid for by Daddy. Arrest warrant! 555 When your the heir to Billions of Dollars no one can touch you.  Some one in Thailand very powerful wants a bribe.  If Boss returns and gets off on a technicality then you know the bribe has been paid.

Now how's the government budget doing?

Five years and still untouchable. What makes you think that the bribes  haven't already been paid? (Need to pay off everyone who is possibly involved. It only takes one malcontent to screw everything up.) That was probably the first business he too care of as soon as he sobered up after his deadly act.

It's fitting that he is an alleged criminal as he is avoiding an alleged justice system.

The press can hound someone without fear of interference in the West. Boss may find his travel options limited; he may now be scared of stepping out of his front door. Showing off on social media could be his downfall.

Strange how he got into England with the international arrest warrant on his head. ?

Not really considering there IS NO warrant out for his arrest- why do people make this crap up?

The last thing a guy like this wants is loss of face- far more important than a trial or lack of. People should door stop him in London and embarrass him- his minders can only do so much if people are  on the Public Highway.  In the pub or club- 'oh, you're the guy who killed a cop in Bangkok aren't you?' he'd soon move on .

Just wondering here, is this guy and other wealthy young people like him,

is there any substance to their existence? are they helping society with their

wealth and powers what so ever or are they just an empty vessels reeking,

stinking of daddy's money aimlessly wondering around a total useless

to their people and country....

Also the UK looses face a lot by letting guys like him hide in their capital.

Why has everybody forgotten that within 5 minutes he had another person who claimed he was the driver during the accident?

He should just get rid of this, go to Thailand and go see the judge..after that his name is clean and he can enjoy his money/life.

From the CNBC article:

Often when people don't show up for court, police or prosecutors collaborate to ask the court for an arrest warrant. That hasn't happened.

British historian Chris Baker, who with his Thai wife, Pasuk Phongpaichit, has written extensively about inequality, wealth and power in Thailand, said he wasn't surprised Vorayuth hasn't been prosecuted.

Unbelievable.

Fact is he has not been convicted of anything...

Unfortunately our Immigration guidelines for refusing entry does not cover those evading justice in another country, though I think missed court appearances on manslaughter charges should be a good reason to refuse entry or cancel any visa he has but without a revision of our guidelines to the UK immigration officers this is not going to happen.

Know what you mean - we forget the names, whilst (generally) remembering the incident.

As an F1 fan I had a 'soft spot' for Red Bull Racing' - it took the latest news about the heir avoiding court yet again for it to finally 'sink in' and properly connect the heir with Red Bull .

Well then how do they expect to catch him if they don't issue an arrest warrant ?  :shock1:

Obviously it was never the intention to catch him.

However, the police have not issued a warrant for Yoovidhya's arrest and he has not yet been formally indicted.
