Knifeman holds up Family Mart employee in early morning Pattaya robbery

PATTAYA: -- A "30 year old man" brandishing a knife held up a branch of Family Mart early this morning.

 

The man, riding a "big bike" had been seen looking as though he was putting money on his phone outside. When there was just one employee in the shop he came in with a knife and demanded money from the till.

 

The scared employee handed over 1,500 baht saying that the robber looked as though he had a gun as well in his possession.

 

He was aged about 30 and wearing a full face helmet.

 

Banglamung police were, however, tight lipped with Siam Chon News reporters refusing to share details of the robbery including the CCTV footage.

 

Though Siam Chon News reported that earlier in the day a man had stolen a motorcycle from a technical college student in the area.

 

The shop robbery happened at 4.30 am in a Family Mart branch on Sukhumvit Road heading into Pattaya.

I assume that was a guess... 30ish.

 

I assume as there was no mention of nationality the offender must have looked and spoke Thai... though if he was wearing a helmet maybe just spoke Thai.

The only time Thai's wear a crash hat is when they are gonna rob a Bank, 7/11 or Family mart
