A five-minute-long Thai commercial for a laxative coffee drink is currently trending internationally despite the fact that it sets forward some pretty shallow and unpleasant ideals.

It’s gotten 5 million views since being shared by Facebook page Asian Crush just 12 hours ago, despite the fact that the commercial is a year old and basically tells you that a chemical-laden instant coffee drink designed to make you shit can give you the best life ever.

Warning: you can never unsee this:

Are Thai women (or women anywhere, for that matter) dumb enough to fall for this cr-p? Clearly, the fourth wave of the feminist movement clearly has yet to reach these shores.

Every product claims it will bring you happiness and make your dreams come true.  Nothing new here. If you don't like the commercial, don't buy the product.   The last thing Thailand needs is bitter, unhappy feminists from the west telling them how to be happy and dictating what is acceptable viewing.

Yes, they have the junta to do that

Although this may not be a good example, I have seen many excellent television commercials over the years in Thailand. The originality and humour that some of them show can't help but raise the question of why the main shows are generally so juvenile.

Failing to see the problem, as always....or rather "as always in more recent years".

Can't wait for men to be blamed for this "issue" again lol

A few cups of regular real coffee seems to do the trick for me in the morning.

2 bottles of beer in the evening and a Yoghurt or some Lactasoy (fermented milk) in the morning also do the trick. Oh, and of course.....SAUERKRAUT. Opens all the gates immediately. But it's not easy to find in thailand.

Unfortunately yes.

If only I knew what this stuff does (if anything).

Hopefully not dehydrate or irritate the intestines.

To me it's just a boring stupid commercial.

Not much to excite about.

I used to watch a Thai company on satellite TV that made short films some of which were excellent.

Dead right, and many of them are obese too.

Much like they don't need bitter unhappy immigrants from the west telling them how to be happy and what is acceptable. Hello Thai Visa forum ;)

Yup. Just look at all the skin whiteners they buy by the boat load.
