Fox to investigate sexual harassment claim against O'Reilly

Fox investigating O'Reilly is like Thai cops investigating Thai cops, or the Thai junta chiefs investigating who took the plaque from downtown Bkk, or like Republican Congresspeople investigating whether Trump conspired with the Russkies to influence the US election.

If there's no willingness, then it's window-dressing, at best.  .....and it wastes a lot of money and time.

I think Ailes got something like an $18 million settlement - that sounds rather good.   Guys like Rupert and Ailes and O'Reilley are always throwing money at each other. They spend more on a dinner out than all the Hill Tribers in northern Thailand spend in a week.   Trump is in the same crew.  Those guys have no idea of the value money holds for little people who actually work for a living.

$13 million has already been paid to claimants - re ; O'Reilly's perversions, and the dust hasn't yet settled.  More to come (no pun intended).   Note:  all those payments are considered INCOME (for the women claimants) when Fox reports it on their taxes.  Therefore Fox is lying.  It's illegal.  Fox and Murdoch's empire should get penalized accordingly - for falsifying tax statements.  Perhaps that's another reason why Trump is so shielding about all those old perverts.  Trump is in the same sordid gutter.   Indeed, Trump is the only prominent person to publicly declare that O'Reilly is part of a witch hunt.   Dubious accolade for the world's best known pussy grabber.

The Republican Congress hates Trump. Very few backed him in the primaries. Nearly all would feel much better with a President Pence. They will make out as unwilling participants in the bound to happen impeachment hearings but secretly they will relish taking the Orange Bafoon down.

In less than 60 days he will have a new show, radio likely but then perhaps a cable network show as Glenn Beck did.

Hopefully on satellite radio, where most of us will never hear from him again.

He still has a newspaper column, but maybe Murdoch will dump those as well.  A few years ago for his Xmas column he explained why Jesus hates the poor.  One hell of a human being, he.

Maybe MSNBC will hire him, it looks like they're setting themselves up to compete with Fox in the iron-heel market.

It is insinuated that Bill used his power to manipulate women into bed; is that anything like using your wallet to get a hooker into bed with you?

Are women really that lacking in self esteem that they jump into bed with any rich man against their will?

What a silly statement.   It's not even really a question.   These women did NOT jump in bed with him or anywhere else.   Some of them were then threatened with their job or given lesser jobs because of their unwillingness to comply.   Some also suffered continued harassment.

Fox investigating O'Reilly?

That's a laugh.

That's like an actual fox investigating the mysterious carnage of fowl at a hen house.

Fox News probably has more incentive to investigate him than anyone if they're to fire him.  With no cause, he'd probably get tens of millions in severance, with Fox paying his legal fees.  With cause, he could be out on his ear without another Fox dime.
