Twenty-eight teenagers were arrested during a raid on an allegedly illicit drug party at a two-storey house in Tambon Na Klua of Chon Buri's Bang Lamung district on Thursday afternoon.

Following a tip-off that teenagers were taking drugs at the house in Soi Pornprapanimit since Wednesday night, a team led by Bang Lamung superintendent Pol Colonel Chakthip Tharapanthakul raided the pool villa, arresting 16 male and 12 female teenagers.

Police also found a 250cc bottle of ketamine, drug paraphernalia, traces of white powder on a tray and two electric cigarettes.

Police determined that the teenagers had travelled from Bangkok to Pattaya City for the Wan Lai Festival and rented the pool villa for Bt7,500 per day.

Police forced the teenagers to submit to urine tests before proceeding with legal action.

7,500 Baht a day pad. Well they certainly weren't slumming it, were they? Mind you at 28 people that's cheaper per head than any of the cockroach infested pits in town.

The cops don't appear to have found a huge stash of party goodies apart from the bottle of ketamine.

Given they arrested all 28 after urine tests, it does seem though that they had all been checking it out.

Oh, and the two electric cigarettes found? :cheesy:

Following a tipoff??! These snitches who think that it is their life purpose to give intel to the police about other people are boring. Get a life, snitches.

Saving a person's life does indeed qualify as  "getting a life". You don't seem to understand that the "ketamine" type recreational products available in Thailand are toxic and  contain seriously  dangerous contaminants. This molecule is not manufactured by a monitored facility that observes purity and hygiene requirements. Any number of adulterants can be added. Past contaminants identified have been pesticides, herbicides, caustic   substances, and heavy metals.

What I find amazing is that  some people see nothing wrong  in consuming unknown chemical concoctions but will make a fuss if there is a fly in the som tam.

The "tip-off" was probably just some neighbour who phoned the police over excessive noise from the party.  That is usually the way it happens

Could simply be the neighbors fed up with the noise and comings and goings.

Would you inform on a neighbour abusing a child?

This isn't really Naklua, Soi Pornprapanimit is Soi Siam Country Club I believe.
