PATTAYA: -- A chicken noodle vendor who returned a bag containing valuables worth more than a million baht has been praised for her honesty.

Sumaree Sri-uam, 29, was riding her motorbike with sidecar that she uses to sell noodles in the area of Bali Hai port early Sunday

morning, reported Siamchon News.

She spotted a bag and found that it contained nearly 30,000 baht in cash and three cashier's checks worth 400,000 baht each. Credit card details and other documents in the bag identified the owner as Wuthikorn Hanwuthisit, a local building contractor.

Sumaree went to Pattaya police who found out that the bag's owner was in hospital.

However, the man's elder brother 46 year old Thanawut made it to the police station where he praised the noodle seller for her honesty and gave her a reward.

The sum of the reward was not specified in the Siamchon News report and neither were the circumstances that led to the bag's owner ending up in hospital.

This just completely confounds the TVF narrative re: Thais, and police. Needs to be buried immediately so we can go back to regular programming.

Of course that lady did well.

Very well.

But.

How many good deeds and how many bad deeds are there?

Indeed, how many good deeds are ignored and unreported while "bad deeds" merely speculated or labeled as so by TVF posters, in particular the notorious CSI: TVF?

Pattaya City on Monday presented a certificate of honour to a noodle vendor who returned a wallet containing almost Bt30,000 to its owner.

Pattaya Mayor Pol Maj-General Anan Charoenchasri and other city executives gave 29-year-old vendor Sumalee Sri-aum the certificate of honour and praised her as a good citizen who helped promote the city’s image.

Sumalee found the wallet – which contained Bt29,822 cash, three cashier checks each worth Bt400,000 and important documents – and handed it in to police at 3am on Sunday to help find the owner. The documents identified the owner as Wutthikorn Hanwutthisut.

A nice change from the endlessly re-cycled taxi driver returns 100000000000000000000000000 billion baht PR stunt.

Great to see some innovation in TAT PR.

Possibly the finder did not want the reward made public nor the owner.
