CHONBURI: -- The female owner of a large Karaoke restaurant in Chonburi town has complained to regional top brass after local cops shut her down for seven days.

Kesiyaporn Patjareuang alleged that her Hung Lay karaoke and restaurant was ordered shut after the son of a cop at the Don Hua Lor station complained of getting poor service, reported TNews.

The man had been upset with a singer he had spoken to and been cross that he didn't get a special discount, she told regional chief Pol Maj Gen Chatpath Charurueanphong.

And the plucky owner went armed with a recording she had made of police talking over the phone in which a request made to limit the ban to three days was denied.

Kesiyaporn said that she has operated completely legally for nine years and now this has happened. She said she wanted justice especially as the closure was causing hardship for the twenty employees of Hung Lay who now had less income.

Pol Maj Gen Chatpath received the report from the owner, reported TNews.

I don't quite understand why the restaurant was closed for a week just because a customer was unhappy. Something is not being reported here.

The father of the person who started this is probably more pissed off about the embarrassment than by his sons miserable behaviour, as he would have probably expected a discount too.

and what is not being reported? Read the article - son doesn't get discount, son whines to daddy, daddy is a cop, daddy shuts it down for a week.

When will there be an impartial probe against that police?
When will the owner of the bar receive compensation for the loss of income?

When will there be a public apology of the police?

When will Thailand have a dedicated and honorable police force?

When will pigs return to the ground and stop flying?

That will only happen when Thailand has a dedicated and honorable elected government who have the people's mandate to rid society of the Sakdina system and of graft, and to purge the public sector (especially the armed forces, police and judiciary) of the worst offenders.

In short; not anytime soon.

When is this s..t going to be stopped?

Bloody police think they can do whatever they want, and are not accountable to anyone.

Bloody spoilt brat whines to daddy, so daddy gets on his high horse !! I will show them !!

Time the R.T.P. was disbanded and a completely new police force established.

Every damn 1 of them is only in the job for back handers.

Personally I'm right behind K. Kesiyaporn if that is what actually happened.

It is nice to see for a change someone with the courage to stand up for her people and her own reputation. Hope she had the entire incident recorded on CCTV.

And has had the sense to keep the original recording off-site.......................

"The son of a cop at Don Hua Lor Police Station, did you say?"
"What was that again?"
"Don Hua Lor Police Station?"
"The son of a cop?"
"No discount? At a Karaoke bar?"
"The son of a cop at Don Hua Lor Police Station didn't get a special discount?"
"No, Don Hua Lor..."

But daddy must have used some other explanation officially.

I seem to remember there was a "honourable" elected parliament that formed a government, some time ago.

I have that stupid idea what you expect from that kind of government, did not happen also, then.

In short, it is not really depending on any sort of government, but on something entirely different, the acceptance of "squeeze" by the people in general and the rich and powerful in extremis.

Don't wait for change.

Omg, it must be true, disband the entire Thai police force with immediate effect!

Good idea, love it.We can disband the Royal Toy Police, with immediate effect. And at the same time we can ask all the criminals  to not commit any crimes while we do it. I'm with you! when can we start?:cheesy:

Another example of Thai justice at work So sad That is why Thais have no faith in the system

And another reason there is corruption in the system

But a certain PM has said corruption is being stamped out. Problem, who is waring the boots!?
