CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's socialist President Nicolas Maduro announced on Monday the creation of a new popular assembly with the ability to re-write the constitution, which foes decried as a power-grab to stifle weeks of anti-government unrest.

KALASIN — A middle-aged couple appealing harsh punishment for picking mushrooms from a protected forest had their sentences reduced by 10 years by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea accused the United States on Tuesday of pushing the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war after a pair of strategic U.S. bombers flew over the area in a training drill with the South Korean air force.

PHUKET: -- A pub musician escaped with only minor injuries and a charge for reckless driving after his vehicle flipped when he fell asleep at the wheel at 5am yesterday morning (May 1) about 200 metres from the PTT petrol station in Baan Lipon, Srisoonthorn.

Fugitive Vorayuth left Thailand for Singapore on April 25, police say
