PHUKET: -- An elderly couple this morning returned a wallet containing a British passport, bank book and cash totalling more than 150,000 baht at Pakbang Beach in Rawai.

Prayong Sukkaew, 79, and his wife were collecting bottles at about 6am to sell for money when they spotted the wallet, picked it up and handed it over to Rawai Police officers.

Nice one, good to see some honest folk around, but hey the older folk are normally good honest people.

And the difference between the couple in the article above and say a Thai taxi driver who does exactly the same is?

The police officer was also honest enough not to kick out the old couple and pocket the cash.

In my country if the sum is huge the police will murder the couple and share the cash. Yes, there is a chance this will happen because they dare to do anything. Guess my country, no , not Thailand.

Well, actually the CASH was under 5000 baht, the rest was in the bankbook i assume. But yes, i hope they get a reward.
