It was a joke - harmless banter.

What I detest is when they attack folks and name call, they hate us having freedom of thought as well as freedom of speech.

A last! another true reader of posts. A person who actually reads the post.

Thank you .

Yes, i will give you that. It was rather wrong. But you know that, that is how some people see gays and how the limp wristed effeminate gay stereotype is often shown on Television and movies. You are an American, so your fight for gay rights has been far harder in your own country than in mine. I still maintain that i do not agree with your life style, but you seemed to accuse me of extreme bigotry for having an opinion.I stand corrected for the original post, but not for my opinions.

You posted it dude. It's how you see gays. Own it.

And did you also notice that she glossed over the Mention of The Catholic Church closing down its closing of their adoption agencies, due to their non agreement of single sex environments. Causing hundreds of childless couples to lose the possibilities of adoption.

This post just makes me sorry that i ever posted it. It shows that the little bit of latitude i afforded you was like casting pearls before swine. Also that you have no grace in how to behave in the light of acquiescence.

Advise me? Haha joker.

Just so we are clear about you as a person, stereotyping gays is bad, stereotyping Indians is OK?  So you are selective about stereotyping based on what you are rather than what is right or wrong?

I never suggested you raised Bollywood,  you did however quote the post without picking up the poster about his stereotypical views, you simply said the policeman is a catch, I guess based on looks rather than him as a man, for all you know he could be a complete , so let's also add stereotyping people based on looks to your little foray into feeling offended today.

Putting words in my mouth. Unbelievably sleazy baiting posting misbehavior.
Dude I will take responsibility for what I post not what I don't post especially totally off topic stuff that you are trying to smear me with.

I really hope that you are not typical of all gays. And also, is this the new word you have learned for the day "sleazy"

I'm an individual and not presenting myself as typical. Unlike your crude ignorant stereotyping.

Ahh, but you dont want to be an individual do you?You want an entourage to hang on your every word. You want to be able to 'hold court' among those that would sit at your feet and fawn over every spoken word. That is the way of the flamboyant, over the top, larger than life, ones who seek the spotlight,  and the lime light of attention.

What does that even mean?

Oh, dont be so coy, every body has a reason for being here. But, and comes that word again, sleazy or not.

That's your trip. You posted what you did. Own it and move on.

I love how you use the word flamboyant. Fits in with your moronic ignorant stereotyping. I'm about as flamboyant as Bernie Sanders.

Whats up?, Lost the acidity in your posts. I gave you a little bit of me being regretful. And you took the piss. And now you are trying to deny that you dont want to be the 'Queen' of all you survey

Mind you, i have to say, that you are doing a marvelous job of trying to defend an absolutely indefensible position. During the Napoleonic Wars( of which you would know very little) Lord Wellington gave out medals for that.

Well, stereotyping aside, sleazy(yes, there it is again)or not. Its been a very entertaining afternoon. But my conversations with you, have run my computer battery to the floor. But i will recharge, and willing to engage with you again on this subject, Ive had a (pardon the expression)gay old time. So choose your weapons, and your seconds, and no doubt we will continue to be at each others throats again in the near future.

Now dont be naughty, and speak ill of me now Ive gone, and am unable to defend myself. Its just not done, on the playing fields of Eton old girl.TTFN

I've long though that the huge number of transgender people in Thailand relates to the very negative view of homosexuality. Not to say that there are not "real" transgender people, clearly there are many. But I wonder if many of these boys are really just gay but "choose" the transgender path because in some ways it's more acceptable. Then again, I could be way off the mark.

In any case, best wishes to Mr and Mr Cop.

It appears to be accepted in Thailand but within families it can be very harsh treatment and all of the behind the back stuff can be very demeaning. And the crap said about ladyboys you do not want to hear it.

calling people idiots and morons for holding an opinion

and then calling them bigots

who is the bigot?

Bigot

  1. a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.

There is nothing like avoiding a question when it will set you in a bad light. Stereotyping is either acceptable or not acceptable. Which is it?

I will respond to your "sleazy" by highlighting how slimy you are with your hypocrisy. There you go, slimy and sleazy in the same post, all because you have voted yourself the spokesman on all that is gay. You ignored the stereotyping of a whole country in a post you quoted while spending all afternoon playing the victim about some stereotyping.

Hilarious.

Seeing as a marriage between two members of the same sex isn't recognised by law here, I can't see how he's breached any 'regulations'. But then again, it did say 'unspecified' meaning 'made-up-as-we-go-along'.

Can anyone name any powerful male figure here who's in the army, police, politician, etc, who is openly gay? Not an actor or singer. Thailand may seem like a very open society when it comes to homosexuality, but it's still way behind in my opinion. How many times have I heard "He's not a real man" meaning he's gay. That expression should be reserved for men who beat their partners.

I don't think the concern is the sexuality or gender, although I am sure some officials don't like it. I think the issue is appearing in uniform on the invitation.  I am also pretty sure that had he been in uniform and marrying a woman, their would have been nothing mentioned about it.

Back in my police days in the UK permission was needed from your force to marry, buy a house, get a mortgage etc.

Could this not be similar, a simple case of permission not being sought?

Yes, that struck me. No accounting for taste but Mr Cop is marrying someone who looks as though he might break into a Bollywood dance routine imminently.

The gold tuxedo and the ultra tight fitting cop uniform both would make for a very camp performance.
