Police hunt for masterminds behind Big C bombing

While two men have been arrested for their involvement in the Big C department store explosions in Pattani five others are still being interrogated and the search continues for the masterminds behind the blasts.

 

Maj General Jatuporn Kalumpasut said on Friday that they were still hunting for the individuals who assembled the explosives.

 

Jatuporn also said that a Tambon Administration Organisation chief was being detained because he was near the attack on Tuesday in Pattani’s Muang district.

All the men in custody were being held at the interrogation centre in Pattani’s Nong Chik district.

 

He said the investigation had resulted in some clear information on the incident and the theft of a pickup truck that was used as a car bomb as well as the death of the vehicle’s owner.
