CHIANG RAI: -- A group of activists in the northern province of Chiang Rai on Monday conducted a peaceful protest against the presence of a Chinese vessel assigned to conduct a study along the Mekong River.

Bangkok Bank cuts lending rates to assist SMEs

Bangkok Bank on Monday announced cuts of 25 and 50 basis points respectively in its minimum overdraft rate (MOR) and minimum retail rate (MRR) to 7.125 per cent for both types of loan interest rate, in order to help lower the financial costs of SMEs, increase their competitiveness, and support the economy.

Police receive a hard disk of activist Chaiyaphum’s killing from the military

Almost two months after the killing of minority rights and youth activist Chaiyaphum Pasae in Chaing Dao district Chiang Mai by soldiers on March 17, Chiang Mai police said Sunday that they had just received from the army a video footage of the incident.

Phuket woman tricked out of close to B1mn by con gang

Report into ex-governor’s alleged role in child sex ring expected this week
