Eye doctor Buriram city area

Featured Replies

Want to find an OK eye doctor for general checkup and prescription for driving glasses.  Anyone know of one not in a big private, expensive hospitals?  Not insured so I pay all from my pocket.

Buriram area preferred but anyplace not too far can be OK.. Thanks in advance

You will not pay that much for an eye exam at a private hospital - just do not buy medications or glasses there.  But you could use a government hospital and pay for the service and that would also be cheap (but need a Thai speaker to help with registration and explain).  Doctors here work in hospitals for the most part - not in private clinics as in other countries - although you may find some that work afterhours this would mostly be general doctors upcountry.  Most sales of glasses is not done under doctors supervision so best to have a qualified exam for the 500-1000 or so baht it would likely cost.  Have them provide prescription and you can then source yourself - for many of us that means outside Thailand from Zenni or another such provider.

You should be able to find a eye clinic in Buriram. I am certain there a opthamologist that have their own clinic.

Perhaps it would be best for this to be in the Isaan forum for local input. Moved to there.
