Soi Siam Country Club roadwork delayed indefinitely

PATTAYA:-- The roadwork, detours and inconvenience from the reconstruction of Soi Siam Country Club is going to continue for the foreseeable future, as the project has been indefinitely delayed.

Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit apologized to East Pattaya residents May 17, acknowledging that the schedule had slipped and construction halted.

The project’s contract has been extended and no completion has been date set.

Mai said due to flooding, heavy machinery cannot be used to lay new drainage tunnels and the road plans are facing changes. Until the alterations are approved, no work will occur.

The most serious impact from the flooding was in the Rattanasin Market area at Soi Famiartkan were four-meter box culverts were to be installed in the middle of the road to counter flooding.

The Nongprue Council is currently looking for a second contractor and the box culverts will be installed as soon as possible so that the original contractor can continue on with drainage pipes and other work.

I struggled to get to my usual barber on Soi Siam CC, not far from Sukhumvit. What a mess.

Nongprue should pay a weekly compensation to these businesses and that may give them incentive to push the contractors more. If the job cannot be finished in a timely manner it should never be started. Too many projects go this way and the companies that fail should not get more work,

Used to regularly go over to the lake.

Don't bother anymore due to the roadworks, traffic congestion and police stops.

You know that Nern Plubwan and Khao Noi can lead to Mabrachan?

A real surprise that the rains came, I mean Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit could never have anticipated that they would come this time of year

One would think that since they knew that the chunnel was going to open in May a little proper prior planning would have prevented this piss poor performance
