Authorities set to cooperate with US police on Thais forced into prostitution

Let's all face the facts, these things will never stop. They can slow it down for a while but stopping it is out of the question unless of course the entire police force is to be replaced with monks which will still not stop it.

No crime happens constantly for years without being stopped without the hands of the authorities involve.

We all know how this world we live in works is just taking us to much time to admit it for reasons I can't comprehend.

Most of those girls if not all knew exactly what they were going to USA to do.

Same Cops on camera talking about it knows how it all plays out unless they are not asking the right questions to those working under them or choose to accept whatever answers they get for reasons only known to them.

"DON'T HAVE SEX WITH A WOMAN WITH NO CONDOM AND BE SURPRISE WHEN SHE TELLS YOU SHE IS PREGNANT"

We all know what's up.

Thai women forced into prostitution. I call bull....

More like they were told they can make more money .

For sure they all went there knowing exactly what they would be doing for work.

And for sure they made more money.

But got cought so now they say forced into sex.

Same same but different.

I have heard directly through family members of my girlfriend, about this happening to in Bahrain. Invited to go to work in Restuarants only to be locked away to sell sex to whoever.

Human trafficking is real.

I have also heard the other side of the story also. Women who work bars over here to go there to try and make more money.

Is he the one caught on cam filling his tank then leaving without paying last week?

My heart goes out to you Mr Allen.  Two of my friends have been 'fined' by the BIB bandits.  I know six farang bar owners who pay monthly protection money.  Surely spycams + social media will soon spell the end of these criminals that sully the name Royal Thai Police?

Only 6? Unless they are working it another way, nearly all ferang bar owners pay.

And when you say about "the criminals that sully the name Royal Thai Police" They are all criminals, they are all at it. Geeze, man, how long you bee here? Rank corruption is in everything that turns a baht piece. From Government contracts to bar's. Its an accepted way of life here. The Thais expect to pay in the brown envelope for the things they want. But, what i hate more than anything, is those of us that complain about corruption, but use it to their advantage. Eg,drunk gets stopped in his car, well over the top. Pays the cozzer 4000 baht, doesn't have to go to court, doesn't lose his licence, Doesn't find his insurance policy rockets. Has no endorsement on his licence. No 1000 pound fine No further problems, if he wants to rent a car..Goes home and does exactly the same thing the next night. No mate, corruption is a double edged sword, and sometimes it works for us.So no angels here.

I did computer work for a Vietnamese woman who owned several massage establishments in OC Calif. She had a number of girls working for her only one was Thai. CA made a new human trafficking law giving more power (and money) to LE. I recall one girl was caught taking a tip ($20) to watch an undercover finish himself. They arrested her after work and offered her a deal to be a snitch. The owner could not believe her girl would do that, (yes naive). This was before the trafficker law took effect. After that I read many articles about massage establishments raided for trafficking when a girl arrested was promised a "deal" if she would say she was trafficked & testify (lie) against the owners. These establishments are close knit, they all know each other, the girls would get mad at one owner then run & work for another place. Traffickers wouldn't let that happen. I did know of a Korean place where the girls "did everything" the owner would loan girls money to return to korea for cheap boob jobs, The girls returned and worked until the loan was paid off. I don't call that trafficking, but I bet LE called them sex slaves.

Ok boys in one instance this is how it worked for a friend. My friend worked in a bar in Bangkok was approached by a lady who offered her work in Switzerland. The lady(pimp) says ok for 1 million baht I will furnish air fare, passport, visa and all other expenses for travel. My friend took her up on it. Friend goes to zurich and works 6 months in a brothel, then moves to a bar, she paid off expenses in 6 months plus she got to keep half until paid off. She hooks up with some guy and then just lived with him for 3 months. When her daughter was hurt in accident she came home.

She kept her passport, could come and go when not working and one day off a week. No police involved on Thai end.

These situations not all the same, but when a guy pays you 300euro for 15 min. there is money to be made

My ex came to the US on a student visa from Thailand. A work permit was not included. Her first sponsors were a Korean family that insisted she be a live in (24 hr) nanny, when she asked for time off to take classes, they insisted she take on line classes. She left, and soon discovered she could not afford classes so got a job working massage. There was a website reviewing massage and other sex establishments hers was always rated legit, no hanky panky. She told me how a couple of UC LE people tried to force her to snitch, she always refused as there was no illegal activity. She now makes a living running her own spa doing facials and selling skin care products on line. The place she worked is still in business, never been raided.

"Krissana said the crime took place in the US so Thai authorities could not interfere, but officials were ready to cooperate with US officials."

The authorities don't interfere here either, that's how the Thai women got to The USA in the first place.  Perhaps if the authorities were to concentrate on arresting the ringleaders of all the scams in Thailand, they might be surprised about who they drag-out from the gutter.

This is wrong, not saying its right, but when you get the authorities too involved,  it ends up like the Philippines where you need a 50 page embassy notorized  paper pile for each traveler when family members are trying to visit family members in neighboring countries.  Then when Filipino's try and leave Manila, Davao, Cebu etc, they can still be turned back by the immigration officer on duty.  They are not looking for hand outs either, at that point, too easy to get caught.  How the multitudes of Filipino hookers make it out to Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, even here in Thailand?  I can't figure it out.  But, it seems, if you are an illegitimate traveler, there are agencies set up to help you travel abroad to hook! These agencies make the immigration officer's turn a blind eye.  And in speaking to some of these hookers, once in KL or Singapore, yes! I have asked, how long you stay here? come from where? go to where? these girls are not being trafficked so much as trafficking themselves.  The facilitators are really travel agents that make the small payment, that gets whatever visa the girls need, to stay for a few weeks or more, while travelling the region. In the US, they get better money,  just over-stay, then become Trump's prey!

Exactly my point, don't be part of the corruption behind close doors and when we step out you talk like saints.... No ANGELS HERE FOR REAL

There are still a lot of Thai women lured abroad for other reasons than more money in prostitution there.
Most of them being fairly new to the trade in Thailand are easily convinced by human traffickers to travel for other reasons but prostitution.

personally i think this problem can be solved by not requiring the police to wear shirts and pants that are not 3 sizes to small  , the blood flow is altered .

I also believe that the Philippines still have the law, that a woman can be arrested and put in prison for 14 years for adultery.and this is even if she is separated from her husband, and has been for years.I was made aware of this on my first visit to the PI. Also whats really scary is that the woman's BF can be arrested too. I think that divorce is still out of the question there, but an annulment can be arranged. What a great religion Catholosism is!

What's the Philippines got to do with it!  Malaysia, Singapore or Hong Kong, for that matter.  The post is about Thais forced into prostitution in America.  It happens everywhere, but in Thailand, nobody does anything about it.  If these women hadn't been caught, you wouldn't be reading about them; the smams would continue until something else rocks the boat.

What could possibly go wrong? :stoner:

I would suspect that since The US cops wont be looking to exclude any of the "Higher ups and government officials" that there will be a sufficient number of "The privileged and government officials " here will be changing their names to keep from being blackballed in the US. or have Interpol after them when traveling.

Wow, prostitution in the US using foreign goods! NO WAY, can't happen and must be a lie lol. Has anyone been to Bahrain lately. Special place with its own little segment dedicated to abusing Thai culture. My biggest beef is lets deal with the immediate problem here. I'm a farang and I have called out several farang bar owners who have the special little rooms in the back and charge young Thai women 500BHT a day to work in these slum bars and they must pay the 500 BHT a day and then they get to keep the proceeds they make above this amount. Should they not show up for work for a day they still have to pay the amount. I have singled out some of these scum bags, usually older fat farang predators generating there survival thru prostitution. In Phuket I know of 3 SKANK ROWS as I call them, (THE SKANKS BEING THE PIMP FARANGS), Soi's that have 6 to 8 of these little pubs with a pool table, 4 little room massage in the back and a cheap bar with a TV and Wi Fi. The girls live together in a small apartment usually and send all of the money back to Bang Kok to their parents who are raising their children. During low season these girls have to go back to Bang Kok to find some other means to support their children and themselves. Time to clean up our own back yard as the yard is so big it has moved out of the country!

I'm sorry your comments are not accurate. I know several Thai police, actually over 50 of them. They attend regimented training and live in good communities, raising their children and growing their families and there goal is to serve and protect. Many of them have nice vehicles that appear to be above their pay grade but that applies to most Thai's as owning a good vehicle is important to Thai's and good for them. I have received a couple of fines, parking and I deserved them other than that I have been treated properly and when I need them they are there. With all due respect I would challenge you to be a policeman here and swim in this shark pool.

Thai prostitutes plying their bodies and trade abroad has become so prevalent that they form into a special category of their own. Even porn sites have their own Thai sections.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of Thai brothels, escort services and prostitutes in virtually ever country of the world, including many regions of Africa. Australia, India, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, Europe, the UK, America and the Far East that all have organised gangs running Thai prostitution rackets.

Most of these Thai women know exactly what they`re getting into and how to play the systems in the countries where they work as prostitutes in one form or another. I guarantee that when mentioning Thai women in the west, the first thing that comes to mind are prostitutes, Thai prostitutes seem to be Thailand`s biggest exports.

This is a reputation that for Thailand is going to be hard to shake off. Whether this is a cultural thing as just something that has become the norm as a means of earning more money, I have no idea.

This is not so much human trafficking but is more like manipulating young girls into the sex industry.

How it works: vulnerable Young girls, usually between the ages of 16 to 24, that come from poor families and poor backgrounds, with only the basic education and not much chance of any future career prospects, start in some kinds of low paid jobs or working in low income family projects. Then they become involved with others, either work friends or those within their own communities that tell them there are ways they can earn big money for not working very hard. Then through connections known as agents or middle people these girls get assisted passage to travel abroad and work in massage parlours, spas, resorts, clubs and bars or as escorts. They become convinced they`ll be earning big money that requires no brain work or skills, and believe that after two years they would have made their fortune and can return to Thailand living happily ever after.

There are many that have been successful but for most the jobs do not meet their expectations but once in they become institutionalised into the sex industry and find it difficult to break free from it.

Not all these girls are from poor backgrounds, quite a lot come from middle class families and see prostitution as a fast track means of making money, while able to live  luxurious lifestyles when on the game.

In essence there are two types of prostitutes, the desperate and the lazy who see this as a way of making easy money.

30k? Sorry to break it to you but he was telling 'pork pies' Government jobs like Police and planing and health and education pay very well.  they will not tell you how much they really get and there is a massive effort to purport the low paid myth (many here who are blinded by the myth will probably get up and scream i am wrong.... but I am not). But be sure Police of any decent rank are all on more than 60k not including tea money and it goes up and up and up from there. (as are teachers of any decent rank as are govt officials). My Borther in law is in Mid level Town Planing Chonburi and is on a figure greater than 120k a month not including the tea money... though he swears he is clean. Who am I to argue.

OMG, please don't tell me (I wouldn't believe it anyway) that any HISO (Police/Military/Customs/Immigration/Government Officials) are involved in this despicable crime. No, it must be some no-mark from Burriram or Chiang Mai or Roi Et with no support, money or connections…just what I thought! Glad we sorted that out…555

A recruiter for girls to work in Bahrain visits the Issan village of my GF frequently, and at least this one doesn't lie about what they will be required to do, but points out the handful of nice houses in the village owned by the few successful 'veterans'.     (One who works now in Pattaya, is in her fifties, and comes home for weekend with mom monthly, with a different farang 'fiance'  ...or actually a farang wallet attached  to a farang with his tongue hanging out.)

Another home belongs to a lady who was actually trafficked to AUS,   eventually caught an arrested, but returned later as a fiance, to start her own business, and built a mansion for holidays and eventual retirement.

The situation is more likely 'all of the above'.  Some willing participants, some trafficked, some formerly trafficked but 'converted'.  The ones making the most money are not the girls.
