FPO: Thai economy to grow by 3.6% this year

BANGKOK, 30 May 2017 (NNT) – The Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) has indicated that the Thai economy will expand by 3.6 percent this year, given positive signs in investment and export.

FPO Director Kritsada Jeenawijarana attributed Thailand's economic growth forecast to government spending in addition to a 9.2 percent growth in exports and higher auto sales, which reflects an expansion in the investment sector.

He expressed his confidence that the Thai economy will grow by 3.6 percent as expected given all the aforementioned contributing factors, as well as the Industrial Confidence Index which rose to 87.5 in April. Tourism also experienced a 2 percent expansion.

Additionally, the Consumer Confidence Index reached a new 15 month high at 65.1, due to lower oil prices while demand for agricultural products increased by 20 percent.

Chrystal ball time again is it!  It's still May, and yet the FPO has made up its mind that the Thai economy will expand by 3.6%.  Has Khun Kobkarn been transferred from TAT!

One thing for certain, auto sales will be up; got all those knocked-off supercars to sell.

Just tell us what it WAS in February 2018.  We can wait instead of seeing this BS all the time.  How do you count on people that aren't allowed to fail anyway?
