It says certificate is for,
Bank account or car / bike.

Where does it say that ?
The certificate I got in August makes no mention of using it to get a car/bike licence they did ask the purpose but it was not stated on the certificate...if a "purpose" is stated on the certificate now then its something new.

nope, I had to get three of them one time

one for selling bike

one for buying bike

one for drivers license

I gave the wrong one (because I can't read Thai) and the guy said "cannot use this one is for drivers license"

had to ask him which one was the one for selling because it had to be EMS to the buyer

You got this certificate from Jomtien immigration ???

I posted a scan of one I got a few years ago got from Jomtien  it  makes no mention of  drivers licence etc...this August there was still no mention of  drivers licence...so if it mentions a "purpose"

now its something new  from the Jomtien immigration.

not from Jomtien but the OP is in Bangkok so I'm not sure how this is relevant.

It was on the application form.

Anyway.

Best good news in ages from DLT.

Took the car today.

Along with the buyer.

Used an agent he had used before.

One hour service. Inspected.

All done. 2,305 baht...

Highly recommended if anyone needs a contact.

The last scam artist used by the seller when I bought the car, charged me 5,200 and took 8+ weeks.

Including province and number plate change from Bangkok.

It's on the bottom of the application from.

Doesn't print on the certificate.

Unless it's in Thai.

But I had to have 2x

1 for sell car.

1 for buy another car.

I'm in Pattaya.

Jomtien immigration.

They evidently are closing the dragnet.

The Jomtien form used yesterday said.

Bank account or buy / sell car.

So as I said all along the certificate doesn't mention a "purpose" at all ?

And as I said.

It's on the bottom of the one page application form.

So its obviously serving a purpose.

Be it to prompt the staff member to ask for the specific support information, or to be it printed on the actual form you receive.?

I cannot read thai.

Maybe someone is conversant with thai?

Interestingly I have certificates before done in English at Jomtien.

These are again in thai.

You might want to redact that a bit better Dave....but anyway its the same as I posted above there is no mention on the certificate about a "purpose"
