Perhaps the ex-MP could make a reasonable offer to the company thus avoiding transport costs to the UK etc. The ex-MP has a case he could pursue against the person or company from whom he bought the vehicle. Blueboy88
Maybe they could let him keep the car....then they would only need to investigate people with unusually high bank balances who actually stole the money themselves. Would seriously ease up enforcement and investigation costs on this type of thing

anon789561
gotta laugh. all this law breaking so some donuts can show off driving motors that in general are as uncomfortable as shit. can only be used on a track or on the expressway at night and most of the drivers here can hardly see over their steering wheels never mind drive the bloody things. ahh, some of the label obsessed madness over here does make me chuckle. look at me, look at me! my friend drive this, my friend drive that. get a life 555 anyway, wonder if they tracked down my range autobiography yet

I was wondering if this may have been a pink Bentley too!

Yes but most people don't want a stolen car back so the insurance company sell it on. In this case there is suggestion of criminal collusion on behalf of the UK owners. wakeupplease
Hiso's with more stupid laws that rip off the world as they have been doing for generations here. EEC law also comes into play no doubt. But whats new in the land of corruption? Mind you would anyone want a car back after its been messed about with by technicians who get there certificates of Mechanics off the web or down at a well know local road. Super-cars need trained Technicians not chancers who would be more at home working on tractors or waiters in tie restaurants, sort of reminds me of a company that started up after doing a runner from the UK where he was a failed restaurant owner then decided he was a BMW Mercedes Euro car specialist, then look what he did another runner just as this story broke

Try doing some research premiums jumped up 40% over the last couple of years so in my case its around £200+ a year So you are happy paying the extra, I look forward to you sending me a cheque to cover the increase Even on the wife's car it is £140.00 a year Just to give you an idea Mini Cooper Wife driving was £447.39 two years ago now £605.97 a year just looked at the policy. tj916
Car insurance scams galore going on in the UK at the moment, mainly deliberate 'cash for crash' but not all. About 25 years ago, friend of mine bought a GPZ 900 ( anyone remember them?) Seller met him at a service station. Low mileage, good condition, very good price. Two weeks later Police turned up, original owner had reported it stolen and got his mate to sell it. Friend lost the bike and got nothing back. Be careful out there.
