Can I get a 60 day visa in Myanmar?

I'm a US citizen working in Thailand, but have given my notice and want to visit Myanmar. When I come back to Thailand I won't have a job, so I'd like to get a 60 day Tourist visa that can be extended 30 days in Bangkok. Where can I find out more information about this and alternative visas? I have a Myanmar GF and we are looking to possibly start a business in Myanmar, but we are in the early stages, so I would like to travel a few times back and forth Yangon, Bangkok. Can I get a multiple visa along with the 60 day? And do you have any idea of the costs?

A TR Visa is 60 days and available at the Thai-consulate in Myanmar for $40 USD.  You can buy a re-entry permit for 1000 per-entry or 3800 multiple.  You can also apply for a 30-day extension in Thailand to the 60 initial-days for 1900 Baht.  Unless I am mistaken, a re-entry permit purchased for the 1st 60-days would not be transferable to the extension (it is based on the permission-of-stay date at the time of purchase), so unless you are traveling back and forth very frequently, you'd be better off buying one re-entry permit at a time.

Thanks JackT that helps a lot. I'll just buy a single entry. Someone else told me I'd have to have a ticket into and out of Thailand within the 60 days...which throws a slight wrench in the plans, but I guess you just throw the ticket out of Thailand away if you want to use the 30 day extension option. The main thing is not causing hassles. Thanks.
