SETV to Non-O conversion: timing?

I'd like to "convert" my SETV to a Non-O in Pattaya (based on retirement, 800k in the bank already ...).

 

My 60 days will end on Aug 7 and my 50th birthday is also on Aug 7.

 

I read that I can apply for a conversion up to the last 15 days of the permitted stay. But when exactly can I start the conversion process?

 

- Only from Aug 7 (would need to apply for a 30 day extension first)?

- Or 15 days before Aug 7 (would not need an extension, that is save some time and 2000 baht)?

You cannot apply for a change of visa status until your birthday. You will have to apply for the 30 day extension to have the minimum 15 days remaining to apply for it. 

I suggest you apply for the 30 day extension af few days before August 7th so you will not have to do the change and extension on the same day.
