observer90210
If proved guilty, why not just sack the corrupt fellow? why do they always cover up their dishonest boys in "inactive" posts? With time, all the "inactive" positions will be filled up!!...Where will they put them at that point?

KhunBENQ
It would have been worth to add that this Region 8 is Surat Thani. Taking bribes for fast promotion: one has been caught. A drop in the ocean.
Juan B Tong
OMG! You mean it is illegal?
spidermike007
Something does not add up here. Police are not removed for bribery. Not by this administration, and not in this country. It just does not happen. Either he pissed someone off, the government is making a show of this to gain face, or something else is up. But, removed for bribery? You have got to be kidding. Nobody is removed for bribery under Little P. It just does not happen.
phantomfiddler
This "Inactive Post" place must have a huge seating capacity !
Eric Loh
The irony of such corruption within the ranks of the PDRC and their movement to rid the bad guys for the good " Khun dee " guys.
Nip
Of course it's no secret that in Thailand all of the police and most government officers buy their promotions with Phuket and Pattaya costing most but as these guys are inactive anyway is an inactive post a promotion? esprit
What Thai police offers taking bribes ? never there must be some misunderstanding here. Good to see he is going to the most populated office in Thailand, "the office of inactive posts". Of course until it is all forgotten about or even higher bribes are paid, so he gets moved to a new division to start over again. seajae
well it just goes with the Surat Thani customs officials getting their monthly "payments" as well but I doubt we will hear about that as no one is game enough to dob them in, happens in every city in the country

madmitch
Surely all the corrupt cops in the inactive post department would combine their individually minimal brain power and concoct a way to keep the cash flowing?

Agreed. Basically it's a Royal Thai Police 'pyramid' scheme' where bribes are filtered from the bottom of the pile to the top.
