Defiant Watana Muangsook vows to continue criticizing NCPO

Outspoken former Pheu Thai MP Watana Muangsook vowed to carry on with his criticism of the military junta despite a recent ruling by the National Anti-Corruption Commission faulting him of involvement in alleged corruption concerning Uah Arthorn housing projects.

The former minister of social development and human security said he suspected the NACC’s ruling was intended to silence him from speaking against the National Council for Peace and Order, but he would not budge and would continue with his criticism.

Wattana said that investigation into alleged corruption in Uah Arthorn housing projects dated back over a decade ago after a military coup that ousted Thaksin administration on September 19, 2006.

The junta then set up a panel to probe all the projects implemented by Thaksin administration, including the Uah Arthorn housing projects. The panel was eventually dissolved and all the alleged corruption cases were handed over to the NACC to carry on with the probe.

Its a free country isn't it? Land of the free... Even if you are in a jail cell and convicted you still should be able to voice your opinion, or not?

A pillar of virtue is what is missing in modern day Thailand.  He has a nice haircut.  Let's go with him.

Free country?  Even those living under a rock for the last few years know better than that.

it is a done deal; if he is even not really guilty, they will make up that guilt

Be warned boy... General Napoleon does not tolerate critizism or advise.. it makes the nation unhappy!

If it makes you feel better, keep telling yourself that.

Wattana criticizes the NCPO brave man, they do not like criticism..

What we do we do for the good of the country..... Oops should say for the good of ourselves.

You are right of course. And also being an ex-MP, or even a sitting one, shouldn't put you above the law.

If he's convicted then of course, people may view his comments less credible,

And if he is guilty?

He should just answer the 4 questions instead of nit-picking
