anon6596585
This is going to be terrible for all farangs as we are all painted with the same brush. Another step back for us and more negative thinking of farangs. Does this mean in a day or 2 we have a farang taxi driver return 10 million baht cash to a poor Thai tourist? Terrible for the family of this old idiot to do something like this.
Araiwah
Now THIS is a farang that deserves to be banged up and deported.

cyberfarang
Maybe more to this. Hope the police check out his passport, visa and driving license and also look into how he was managing to support himself in Thailand, because obviously he had more reasons to escape the police then just for causing minor damages to other vehicles. Scumbag should rot in jail.

richard_smith237
No defence of what happened here, this is tragic... The Foreigner had a mental illness - how was he allowed a license to drive ? Did he have a license to drive ? Can the Hospitals here report patients to the DLT to prevent them from driving? Surely the onus is not on someone with a mental illness to show responsibility about driving? Did the lady on the motorcycle have a license? She was illegally carrying two passengers (yes, I know this is quite normal and widely accepted). There is a lot wrong here... As always, with 20/20 hindsight these tragic consequences are as easy to avoid here as they are anywhere else in the world. Unfortunately, in this case it is a mentally unwell man driving a vehicle which in the wrong hands can kill... WHO allowed him to continue to drive ? or... WHO, knew of his illness and did not act on their responsibility to the public ?

Horrible? Really not just scared? Are you sure about that? He might have been a complete scumbag. He might have been a family man afraid of losing something. There are many reasons people may behave irrationally after accidents. You know, I met two people who were both judged and executed in these forums. They were both very nice people, with genuine reasons for behaving the way that they did. Stories on here were mostly distorted and biased. You are not aware of all the facts. You're also wrong to call this 'murder' as you don't know the circumstances. Assuming the policeman chasing him was on a scooter good for maybe 90km/h he might not even have been speeding!!!
