BANGKOK: -- Charges are expected to be laid against several suspects as police probe the flow of corruption money from the government’s temple renovation project.

“Our ongoing investigation suggests that corruption money has changed hands or been spent on assets. So, any person implicated will be charged with money laundering,” Counter-Corruption Division’s chief Pol Maj General Kamol Rienracha said Tuesday.

He said his division’s investigation would cover between 60 and 70 temples across the country, with the Anti-Money Laundering Office asked to check the financial transactions and assets of suspects.
