BANGKOK: -- The Counter Corruption Division (CCD) police have detected another unethical conduct of state officials entrusted with position of authority in monastic affairs after they conducted deeper investigation into corruption of state subsidies for temples across the country.

CCD investigators discovered the new type of dishonest and unethical conduct by the same gang as they expanded probe into a further 20 temples throughout the country.

The new type of corruption involved funds set aside for the promotion of Buddhism as well as funds for promotion of Buddhism education.

Do the relevant authorities have their note pads ready?  Notes to be taken, pointers to be observed.

One of the Hubs they can honestly claim as their own...

Another committee needed to be set up urgently to investigate this latest corruption issue :cheesy:

New type of corruption, wow.

Need a new commitee to check on the commitee checking on the commitee checking on the corruption.

Honestly, I don't think there really is any kind of NEW corruption in Thailand.

Whatever it is, almost certainly, it's all been done before by someone here. And they likely got away with it.

New Corrupton is the same as Blairs New Labour

It would certainly do wonders for the balance of payments, if Thailand could somehow export corruption. World class product, massive depth of experience to support it, a product for every eventuality, with possibly the only glitch being to convince the customers, that they weren't going to end up being cheated.

the only disgrace is being caught.

... or being sent to jail. Each package would come with guaranteed bail in the case an investigation needs to find a scapegoat to keep the (Thai-style) books balanced. No money back guarantee, however, as the mia noi needs a new Benz.

promotion of Buddhism education.

Isn't that the source, the Hub (so to speak)!!!

Brave and honourable men stealing money set aside for the education of the poor and the preservation of religious culture. Sick.

For a moment I thought we had a real news story about Thailand on TV - a new form of corruption. Instead, it was the same old story about embezzlement of funds donated to Buddhist organization. Same old story.

someone there doesn't believe in reincarnation, it's all about now.

Definitely and the question on every one lips: is it an entirely new species that was not discovered before or is it a new breed that evolved from an existing species?

That could be a Nobel price in the making :cheesy:

How do they call this newly discovered virus - Corruption 4.0?

Something for the beloved Royal Thai Police to learn from. New opportunities always make for a wonderful life.

Nope, religious corruption was the beginning of religion

The State needs to stop funding all religious affairs and redirect such funds towards national infrastructure, modernization, training and welfare for the benefit of all Thai people regardless of their beliefs. Let the Thai people directly fund monasteries solely through direct donations.

I understand it is being called 'religion'.

Some say it will spread like wildfire all over the planet. Surely they should act now to prevent this horror....
