Sorry if in the wrong area to ask but can anyone tell me if this is a not good snake. Was crawling around on the roof of the connecting townhouse overlooking a open area where we do the laundry. Thanks in advance for responses.

Green and yellow Golden Tree snake. Rear fanged so not really dangerous. Very fast moving and will 'run' from you.

Wouldn't worry about it.

thanks very much. I am not familiar with the snakes here and wanted to make sure.

Regular visitors to my place. When you see one climb a tree you will be amazed how fast they can go.

Neighbour had one well over a metre casually climb onto an empty chair about two metres away from him on his terrace, it settled down for a kip while he finished his beer. His wife came out and gave it a gentle poke with a stick and it just disappeared back into the garden.

There are at least two variations of the species in Thailand. Note the difference in the head of the two shown below.

This one at my brothers place in Sai Mai, Bangkok is recognised as not a problem.

There are two species of snakes associated with snake bite poisoning in Chile: Philodryas chamissonis and Tachymenis peruviana. A case associated with a P. chamissonis bite occurring during a summer activity in San Antonio, V Region, is presented. The bite compromised the dorsum of the right hand between the thumb and the index finger and was initially painless. During the following 24 hours equimotic edema developed up to the shoulder and pectoral region, with intense pain, headache, nausea, fever and appearance of a serohematic bulla on the elbow fold. The patient was treated with antihistamines, systemic steroids, analgesia and antibiotics for 7 days. Other cases of snake bites published in Chile are reviewed and treatment and prevention strategies are proposed.

This one at my place in Uttaradit is one that Thai people suggest you give a a big miss and don't fool with it.

A predicable troll post has been removed

It's a Golden Tree Snake otherwise known as a flying snake because they fly/jump across from tree to tree

The snake with the pointed snout, eating a bird is a slowish-moving vine snake. Also known as the long-nosed whip snake. The other one is the previously-mentioned and very fast golden tree snake or flying snake.

Both are venomous although neither is very dangerous to humans.

The one eating the bird I've heard it being called the Green Tree Python. The shape of the head and eyes does make it look quite scary to most.
