Already answered yes you can who ever owns the house is the house master. Whos permision you will need.

Go back to the main amphoe and take someone who speaks thai and ask again. If no joy ask politley to speak to amphoe head man and explain it to him.

I hear this word Housemaster but have no idea what it means.

I live in the sticks on a run down estate that went bankrupt some years ago. If Housemaster means headman or something like that I suspect there is nobody here that fits that description.

And I still come back to the original Question - If I am not married to a Thai can I get a Yellow Tabien Baan?

If I can't then Housemasters or whatever are not an issue.

The house master (aka head of household) is the first person normally listed in a blue tambien ban. Their permission is needed for you to get a yellow tambien ban based upon it.

Who has a blue tambien ban for where you are living?

Yes you can get a yellow tambien ban without being married.

I have a 30 year lease on the land and I built a house on it. Plenty of pics but no official builders invoice. The Blue book has the address but no names (my gf has her own house blue book with her name from a different district).

As far as getting a good Thai speaker. My gf is a government teacher so her Thai is pretty good. However, like most Thais of her age she does not like to question what officials say.

The lady in the Ampur said she would call my gf back yesterday - nothing - surprise surprise.

Normally, but not always.

The house master is the first person listed in the blue house book, which may not be the owner (especially if the owner owns more than one property).

If the blue book is empty then permission to be listed in a tabien baan defaults back to the land owner, as listed on the chanote.

The main reason for a Yellow Book is for motor vehicle licensing and driver's license application or renewal, unfortunately, at least in Pattaya,  the DLT,  won't accept a Yellow Book but demand a Residence Certificate from Jomtien Immigration

And since I don't do "extension of stays" I don't even need a Yellow Book for Immigration.  So after 12 years of being in Thailand on O-A Long stay visas I have never had the need for a Yellow Book

The two times I have renewed my DL and purchased a car, obtaining a Residence Certificate has been almost as easy as doing a 90 day report in person

Pattaya DLT used to accept yellow book, I have bought and sold vehicles, renewed licenses etc, exclusively using yellow book. Not sure when they changed it, or why.

I have to renew my Driving License soon. But last time (5 years ago) I didn't need a residence certificate, has this changed or like most things here does it depend on the place where you renew?
