BANGKOK: -- People who use drones to take pictures of the air bases or facilities of the Royal Thai Air Force may face legal action if their acts compromise national security, Air Force commander-in-chief ACM Jom Rungsawang said Tuesday.

The air force chief issued the warning in response to a report in the Facebook page of Wassana Nanuam, a senior reporter of the Bangkok Post, that the air force had ordered its legal team to examine the clip in the social media by someone who used a drone to take pictures of the Air Force base and posted the clip in the social media.

ACM Jom said that taking pictures of the Air Force facilities were prohibited as such act might be deemed as violating the law on the protection of government secrets.
