Xaysana Keopimpha, a Laotian national who is suspected to be a major drug lord with a network that spans Asean countries, denied drug charges filed against him and two Thais on Monday at Bangkok's Ratchadapisek Criminal Court.

It is the second lawsuit linked to 3.38 million yaba pills.

Xaysana, 42, who was nabbed by Thai police when he arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok from Phuket in January, was indicted on July 27 along with two Udon Thani men, Chumphon Panomprai, 42, and Ratchapol Ratsapolpakorn, 28.

They are facing charges of conspiracy to traffic in drugs and having yaba pills in their possession from July 2015 to December 2016.

The prosecutors also objected to any bail release for the trio, who have been in detention since their arrest, on the grounds of being a likely flight risk and the seriousness of the crime which saw a large haul of drugs seized.

Xaysana and the two others denied the charges. The judge said an evidence-reviewing session would be held on September 25.

Previously, Xaysana had been accused of drug trafficking involving the 1.2 million yaba pills that had been smuggled from Laos to Thailand. He pleaded not guilty.

That case is set for a witness hearing on February 13, 2018.

Got mine last week in shocking pink. This hard man is going to be the shower room favourite at the Bangkok Hilton soon. Reminds me of that scene in Pulp fiction with Bruce Willis and the samuri sword.

Er, don't think so.

Reputations go before you. Nobody will go near him, and he will be treated better than the vast majority of prisoners.

Could be another case of blood infection.

He is looking good and fit and chubby like he has been living high on the hog. His new diet should cut a bit of that fat loose.

Yep, I deny the charges, and you might better let me go soon now, as when you p..s me off any bit more, I might start telling some names, of people you really do not want to hear about, as just hearing their names might bring your career, yourself, and your family at risk. So, what will it be guys? You wanna play tough with me? Up to you... When Xaysana doesn't understand, or doesn't want to 'play' according to, the Thai (erm, well...) 'rules'... I wonder how many Thai 'contracts' he already has on his head... I bet quite some guys very close to the top of the pyramid are on medication for their sour stomach and bad sleep lately, LOL

drug lord denies charges  ? please relate to me the last time one did
