Two Indian men in Pattaya became suspicious of a couple who offered them a chance to go and work in Canada.

The pair had been contacted through "What's App" in India and came to the resort to meet 22 year old Mohammed Junaid Sharief and his Thai wife Patchanee Chokkhokkruat, 37.

The victims - Ozha Bhimkanth, 30, and Malla Ravi, 33 - were met at Suvarnbhumi and brought to South Pattaya.

There they were asked to part with 25,000 baht each to go and work in Canada. But their suspicions were aroused and on the day of the handover of funds they secretly filmed that led to the arrest of the husband and wife fraudsters.

The pair were rounded up in Sukhumvit Road Pattaya 33 yesterday with Pattaya police proudly announcing the arrests in a press briefing at the station.

The arrested pair admitted fraud, reported Tnews, who made a short video at the station to record the success.

Cops only arrested them because they didn't get a cut of the scam.

So, forgetting about the scam for a moment.  The Indians knowingly went to Thailand to meet some Thais that were promising them work in Canada?  And how could that possibly be considered normal? The Indians were looking for a way around some immigration laws, and probably fake IDs and passports.  The Indians got suspicious, that they themselves were being de-frauded while they themselves were most likely to commit fraud and a few other crimes in order to get to Canada.

I totally agree with one of the posts saying that the fraudsters were defrauded, what a bloody joke. I only wish the fraudsters had got their money and left town. The two lowlife bast...d indians are not the ones that Canada or any other country needs so I hope they did lose money in the long run

Know that as a fact, do you?

I think the police just did their job, stop bashing them in every thread.
