English Speaking House Maid Required - Bangpor

Featured Replies

Hi All,

We require a housemaid in Bangpor if anyone has any recommendations?

- 5 or 6 days per week 8 hour days preferably 9am-5pm

- Big house two levels

- General cleaning, dishes, clothes washing etc

- really would like the Maid to speak English (enough to get by ok).  We are happy to pay a premium for this.  Our last maid did not and it just got too hard.

- On rare occasions to keep an eye on our two young children.  Not often but it does happen.  Parents always in the house if this occurs (but might be on another level for instance).

- Our last maid was paid really well but would rather discuss rates etc with any candidate directly rather than announce here.  Things didn't work out with the last one (things started going missing, clothes ruined in wash etc).  So I am hoping with what we are paying we can attract someone who is prepared to work in our area and also speaks ok English.

- Long term position if they work out.  We are here for 3-5 years.

If anyone can provide any guidance, suggestions, directions, anything(!) your input would be greatly appreciated :-)

Cheers,

Schnitz

Talk to the chief of maids in nearest three to five star hotel, and ask if she has/knows any former worker that would be interested in such a job. Maids from many-star resorts are normally well educated and know how to do the job. Many resorts also require some (minor) level of English tasks from their staff.

Had a former maid from a 5-star resort myself – did not even need to tell what way to place the tissue-roll in the bathroom – it was placed like described in the original patent, and the paper-end folded in a nice flower...

In matters like this, I have always done well by asking my immediate neighbours for a recommendation.

It is a good way to get to know your neighbours and will put the request onto the local gossip network (the local gossip network usually operates at a speed that makes warp power seem like a stroll).

If you find someone through this method, it often has an added bonus of the neighbours keeping an eye on the maid, as they feel a bit of responsibility for the choice. Further, it is handy to have someone who lives close by; it is an element of you "joining the neighbourhood" with all of the benefits that entails.

And if nothing comes of the request, no harm is done and you will know your neighbours better. Win-win.

Good luck.
