My 12 year old Thai son is aiming for entrance exam at Satit MC (the demonstration school at Chiang Mai University) where 4000 students will compete for the 200 places at Mathayom 1.

Next (also difficult) alternatives seem to be the private PRINCE ROYAL COLLEGE or YUPPARAJ (which is rated as the best government school in Chiang Mai.) YUPPARAJ have "normal classes" and something the call "SMART YRC". Does anyone know what SMART YRC offers?

Finally, should we consider Montfort?

Any other suggestions or recommendations will be highly appreciated! Thanks!
