A man who lost his iPhone at a Tesco Lotus went online to praise a taxi driver who he later found waiting with his valuable phone.

Writing on Facebook "Karn Motorcycle" who runs a bike shop in Phangnga said that he had lost his phone at the store and only realized later as he drove off past an intersection.

An app to locate the device was used on another phone and he was surprised to find out that the phone was still exactly where he had been sitting on some black seats.

But he said he had little hope of getting it back.

Racing back and not bothering to call his own phone thinking it would surely be stolen he was surprised to find a kindly face holding his property.

It was Phuket limousine driver "Uncle Pe-een" or Phian Phimanphrom.

The honest cabbie said that he often found phones and had no intention of ever keeping them. He was just waiting at the store for the owner to ring or come back and claim his property.

Netizens commented online that it was another example of the goodness of people in Thailand, reported Thai Rath.

The heading is just a little fib......Thai honesty?

There are good and bad in all countries.  There are examples of Thai honesty from the percentage of good people.  Happens everywhere.
