  1. I thought this was rather apt.......
  2. That's good to hear BB.......and for the record I liked Siam Reap!!
  3. So now you can see why I have got BM2 on ignore, because he doesn't have a clue, and for the record I do have a neurogenic bladder, most likely caused by a bladder neck incision I had around five or six years ago and nothing to do with any vaccinations. What a plonker.
  4. And I guess I'm living proof that vaccines work, or either that, I'm posting this from beyond the grave........ In light of this thread I decided to count the number of vaccinations I've had in my lifetime and I was surprised at the number, and here they are: – – Smallpox – Tuberculosis – Hepatitis A – Hepatitis B – Diphtheria – Whooping cough – Polio (vaccination before the oral version became available) – Measles/mumps/rubella (three vaccinations given as one) – Yellow fever – Immuno globulin (a requirement before being able to work in Nigeria) – Tetanus (about four injections over the years) – Covid 19 (three whilst here in Thailand) So, around 19 vaccinations/injections in my lifetime and I'm still here and vehemently believe in them, especially after my experiences with a couple of friends who contracted polio before the vaccinations became available. Luckily I've got the majority of the anti-VAX brigade on "ignore" but there are probably a couple more to go and my post will most likely bring them out! Oh, and by the way I'm not posting this from beyond the grave, just so you know!
  5. More reading for the intelligent folk on AN..... Vaccines have saved 150 million children over the last 50 years. Every ten seconds, one child is saved by a vaccine against a fatal disease. Open and read...............https://ourworldindata.org/vaccines-children-saved By: Hannah Ritchie May 06, 2024
  6. https://www.who.int/news/item/24-04-2024-global-immunization-efforts-have-saved-at-least-154-million-lives-over-the-past-50-years Of course, according to the sad nut jobs on AN all of this isn't true.
  7. I have those two you have mentioned on "ignore" along with a few others who like to post conspiracy theory/anti-VAX theory nonsense, because it's not worth spending a moment trying to read their gibberish. And the one which really stands out is the plonker who keeps posting that there is no such thing as a virus or a bacteria, and even if there were, none of them can be passed on from one human to another, going against everything that science and medicine has proven over the decades. Unbelievable. There are some good posters on AN and a few other nutters apart from those in the categories mentioned above, and IMO the website has certainly gone downhill since the early days of ThaiVisa some 20 years ago.
  8. I thought I'd take a look at a movie I hadn't seen for years, namely David Cronenberg's "Dead Ringers" especially as I couldn't remember anything about it! It starred Jeremy Irons in the role of the twins (an excellent performance by him) and also Genevieve Bujold as the main female in the strange/weird/disconcerting movie, as is generally the norm with anything by David Cronenberg!
  9. I eventually managed to find a very good three-part series called, "A Very English Scandal" (not to be confused with a similar one entitled, "A Very British Scandal") and it starred Hugh Grant as Jeremy Thorpe and Ben Wishaw as Norman Scott and was about the Jeremy Thorpe homosexual scandal and the lies that went with it. I enjoyed watching it again and picked up a few things I'd missed the first time round, but what I couldn't get past was the superb acting of Hugh Grant and Ben Wishaw, in fact it was well acted throughout. It would appear that there were quite a few "shirt lifters" throughout the governing parties, not to mention the judiciary!
  10. He can't, because it's the way he's wired.
  11. I decided to watch old favourite of mine last night, namely, "The Jackal", the one starring Bruce Willis, Sidney Poitier, Richard Gere and JK Simmons, amongst others, and although it seemed to have had some "poor reviews" by some folk, I still think it's a very good movie and I've enjoyed watching it a few times!
  12. Perhaps an apt description of him!
  13. So you choose to believe something from "Fox 25" posted on YouTube which shows an interview with Dr Milhoan who was foremost in promoting the use of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to treat the Covid virus?? He also appeared on an online hearing with Georgia congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene who is an outspoken anti-VAX campaigner, and Dr Kirk McCullough who gained notoriety for his role in the conspiracy theory that Covid 19 vaccines were causing athletes to have heart attacks. If that underpins your argument against the vaccines, along with other conspiracy theory type rubbish, then your posts really aren't worth consideration in any way, shape or form.
  14. The original paper regarding the myocarditis deaths contained research flaws and was later withdrawn and this follow-up to the original published article regarding myocarditis deaths explains why the research is suspect and was withdrawn. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/ehf2.14819
  15. I encountered this particular apparatus when I visited Japan in the mid-90s, and thought they were marvellous, especially as they were able to heat the water (slightly) before it was sprayed in the necessary region. So when I got back to NZ I hunted around and found that a company imported those made by Toto, so I bought one and fitted it myself and it was the best thing I've ever done. In fact when I left NZ to come here, I uninstalled it and installed it in my former girlfriend's toilet and she was delighted. I can't speak too highly of them.
