  1. A bit old for this topic, but still a great song
  2. I am not sure about this, but I have reading reports that Immigration doesn't accept accounts without a Passbook (yet) and my personal experience is that IO likes to flick through my Fixed Deposit account bank book on each every extension day visit.
  3. If your job requires password changes every 30 days… Just set it to the name of the current UK Prime Minister & you should be fine.
  4. +1 But read this from a previous post by @Crossy in another topic about digital meters and MAYBE "log exported energy as chargeable" after reading that it worried me a bit, but hey if they install a Digital meter for us and they charge us for export then next MONTH Export is OFF end of story! ????
  5. I asked my friend when his birthday was. He said March 1st. I stood up, walked around the room, and asked again.
  6. From the link I posted I had mine send over from Europe, so not the ones you can buy cheap at a store here. edit: i have used micro fiber cloth before, but the problem is that they don’t absorb water that good, so that is why the change to Chamois.
  7. Re: Cleaning We now have 6 panels in operation, and I have to clean them almost every single day. Why? Because feathered friends (NOT my friends any more ???? ) like to sit on the edges and then use it as a Toilet ???? Fortunately the panels are "ground mounted" and thus cleaning is easy, just using lots of water and then a Chamois Leather Cloth to wipe them down.
  8. I tried to sneak into a Star Trek convention dressed as a doctor. The security guard suspected that I wasn't the Real McCoy.
  9. Live in it, doubt it, but visit it ... yeah!
  10. Which parts of Isaan are you talking about? Up here in Buriram it's not bad, absolutely not the same as for example Chiang Mai
  11. What does schwarzenegger always say in his movie, I’ll be …..? and that change that to the name of a Composer. (No fun explaining jokes)
  12. Stallone: I'm making a movie about composers. I'm playing Beethoven. Willis: I'll be Mozart. Schwarzenegger: Stop it guys, I'm not saying it.
  13. Oooh difficult question to answer. My guess is around 150 and when I leave the GTI on all the time definitely under the 100. Estimate now till meter reader comes middle of next month is 105.

    Oysters

I loved to eat oysters, but I once ate them at a restaurant (on the sea front) and I was really sick for 4 days, didn't touch them again
  15. Same here, same as Tom Yam which I am fed up with! Rather eat Sok Lek or Laab Nuea Dip!
  16. Mot Daeng is delicious, a bit sour sometime but delicious!
  17. In no particular order Som Tam phoo Parah Massaman Gai Pad krapow moo krob
  18. My problem has been solved, we got a phone call just now (finally after a couple of days complaining) that there was problem approx 3km away from us and they fixed it, also apparently it affected a lot of House Holds. We had a 3BB techie come to our house yesterday and said that everything was fine
  19. I guess 90% of the people who are using ON-Grid inverters are Feeding back into the Grid and thus spinning their PEA meter backwards. One member forgot to turn off his Export and the Meter Guy showed up to read the meter and saw the meter spinning backwards and the only consequence for the member was that PEA replaced his meter to a NON Back spinning Meter. I have a GTI that is connected to the grid and it's spinning back my meter, and I did the test which @Crossy described in his previous post and the GTI stopped "producing" and showing 0 V from the Grid, in which it normally shows what the grid is delivering. Note, what I am doing is only to cover our DAY-Time use, but some days the GTI produces so much (and we are not using a lot of energy during the day) that I am using approx 1 Unit only from the PEA from 17:30-6:30am (<- time when the GTI isn't producing) Edit: 2 tips when starting with GTI's 1- Don't let the Meter reader see that the Meter is spinning backwards 2- VERY important as well, don't go into negative territory, what I mean by that, suppose this month the bill says under "Current reading" 8505 units (example), don't let it go under that reading the following month. I am aiming (read told to by SWMBO) that we must use approx 130-140 units per month from PEA , which means at a certain point in time in the month I have to turn the GTI off.

  21. There is a discount in effect from Sept-Dec for the Ft charge (which is a Fuel surcharge) maybe that also accounts a bit towards the lower bill ???? Standing Charge for a 15/45A is 38.22 if you use 0 Units, then it will be 38.22 + 7% VAT = 40.90 THB bill (No 0 THB bills for a 15/45 or higher meter)
  22. Exactly and those 0 THB bills only work for 5/15A meter's not for the regular 15/45A or higher. We also get those for our property next doors, only have a small 5 W light on in the house so that meter spins a bit (only 3-4 units used every month) Electricity Tariffs Nov61.pdf Fixed charge for a 5/15A is 8.19 THB but it's indeed waived if you stay below 50 Units for 3 months onwards and after that you get 0 THB bills
