  1. How safe is this torrent? Can you stream online or do you have to download the movie? I watch movives on yesmovies or Bmovies which is okay, no downloading but a lot of buffering
  2. 500,000,000,000 Thai Baht equals USA $13,757,755,000.00
  3. Thai jail for a few years then deport him.
  4. Check with the airline and also UK requirements for nationals traveling on a soon to expire passport. I would not rely on comments on here only to find at the airport when trying to checkin they say no can fly.
  5. Being in a condo, should be no problem, the ones I have lived in BKK they fumigate the pipes and underneath the building at least once a year. Check with the Condo management to see if they do this. Also keep a tidy kitchen
  6. very true LOL
  7. Not all treatments are available in all hospitals or country’s
  8. well you got your wish, everyone is talking about your "topic"
  9. Social media plays a big part in this, they see beautiful girls on there and want to look like them, many thais want to have white skin, (and here the white tourists sitting on the beach wanting to be brown) bigger breasts, bigger arse, nose job etc. They worry about getting old, my wife is 33 years and thinks she is old. Crazy
  10. Read an article on BKK post a few years ago about how mental health is over looked in Thailand, and I think the culture hinders people from publicly (to friends or family, even to a doctor) saying they need help. As for expats, I think we can be our own worse enemy, it is important to have interests apart from the bar and a beer. Exercise and contact with fellow expats is important so we do not fall into a rut that can lead to depression.
  11. Agree about Hoi An, nice old townm but every building is now a coffe shop, resturant, art shop and being hassled to buy as you walk down the street. Would not recommend. Though I did not want to go to Ba Na Hills (wife wanted to) so we went, the cable car ride by itself was worth putting up with the imatation french village etc. Da Nang is great and highly recommend the city Hue, a couple of hours by road. Would not recommend the train, van is better.
  12. Thai goverment annouced two days ago "The warning came after the Department of Disease Control (DDC) recently released information on Thailand's HIV situation, which stated that 9,230 new HIV-positive cases were detected in 2022. Of those, most were aged between 15 and 24 years old, and just 22.4% were receiving hospital treatment. For other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), 14,534 cases of syphilis and gonorrhoea were detected that year. The study also found that just 80% of couples used condoms during intercourse. Safe sex is use a condom, some people on here say they take PReP, there are side affects with this and I would not want to be be using it all the time. Better to wear a condom. 15. How long do you need to be out of Thailand to get another 30 days? Friend coming from France, will be here for three and half months then back to France. Do they get 60 days on entry to Thailand? Says so on the Thai Gov Tourist website but I do not think it is updated. Will go visit Lao for one week then come back overland at Nong Khai, do they get a 30 day visa?
  16. DIY shop, 69baht for a computer mouse, works well.
  17. WOW! thank you that is very detailed info. Yes land is a good investment, have been looking at the stock market but am not an expert, will need to study it more. I assume you bought land on Samui which if so you would have done very well. I will have to digest all this infomation for now. Thank you for the input, greatly appreciated.

  19. Wow! you woke up in a grumpy mood today. lol
  20. Hi, interested in what you did for the child savings, can you explain a bit more please? I have a 3 year old and she has a normal savings account, but I would like to change.
  21. As you said family and friends will be around very fast with their hands out, maybe better to have money sent over monthly from the USA and not worry to much about the tax, better to have some income instead of it all going to the family and left with nothing. Find out what percentage the tax would be. Also maybe downsize the house as the out goings are high and while you are alive all is good, but once gone, what is her income and how long will her inheritance last paying the house bills. Do not worry to much, do not want stress at our age. Wish you all the best
  22. WTF are you on about? Please add only meaningful comments to the conversation.
  23. Land with palm on it, 20rai will give around 50,000 baht a month, there are costs like fertiliser and wages for Burmese workers to look after the land but can be a good income for a Thai. Or buy land and build rooms and rent them out, 2,000 to 3,000 each a month, depending on what part of Thailand you live in. But need a strong person to deal with tenants.
