  1. You seem to be evolving to one. 😀
  2. The study is one person who had weight loss surgery, frequently missed meals and didn't eat fruit or vegetables who got mild scurvy. To attribute this to Omeprazole is daft. It may be a factor in low absorption of Vitamin C but it's hardly going to give you a fatal disease like the misleading headline. Like all drugs it should be taken in moderation, unless prescribed for a serious condition.
  3. Notice,, there are 0 gods.
  4. All words are made up, Owl. That's how they become words. Take it up with Dr. Johnson. 😀
  5. What's also weird is that you feel I need to explain myself to you. I don't live by your command. This is going nowhere, so knock yourself out and have the last word.
  6. Why is it weird? Aseannow makes it publicly available and in the context of our little contretant is relevant. What's weird is you feel the need to interject. Good night. Sleep well.
  7. Your profile says joined 2022 and 8720 posts. This isn't heat it's kindergarten. 😀
  8. 8,270 posts in two years. That's a lot of hot air. 😜
  9. Well, you'll be in good company then won't you.
  10. I don't need to do any homework. I've known exactly how this works for twenty odd years. You're just splitting hairs.
  11. *sigh* It's hard work sometimes.
  12. It seems you've not read the article properly. Queer is an umbrella term. Put simply, gays (men attracted to other men) and lesbians (women who are attracted to other women) fall under this category, as do some of the other designations. Because the terms have evolved, particularly in the last 40 years they can be rather fluid. The Q in LGBTQ+ can be used to denote queer or questioning.
  13. Yes, we could arrive in dinghies. 🙂
  14. It's easily Googled if you are in fact interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer
  15. Yes, not homophobia as such but queer-baiting. Nothing new and seemingly allowed on here now.
  16. I was thinking the other day that these creatures would soon be back with their anti-LGBT rhetoric now the election's over. Always the same names isn't it? Two a penny.
  17. You misunderstand me. I never said they said they would reinstate increases. I said that the now Chancellor Angela Rayner supported uprating pensions before but has not mentioned it since being in government. It's the issue that's been dropped not any proposed legislation.
  18. Imagine all 500T + retirees who don't get uprated pensions going back to the U.K., getting the upratings, fuel allowance, housing and care benefits and access to free healthcare. I wonder what the cost would be. A damn sight more than uprating the pensions. Maybe we should all go back at once. 🙂
  19. Oh do grow up. This isn't about immigrants. This has been an issue for the last 75 years.
  20. Yes, it's been discussed then seen as not an issue any more for Labour and the Tories. The Lib Dems are still in favour of uprating and say so on their website, so they haven't swept it under the carpet. Once they get into power the issue is quietly dropped.
  21. And despite the fact that some of us are paying Income Tax in the U.K. contributing substantially to the economy. And all the savings on benefits, NHS etc.
  22. The current Chancellor described the freeze as unfair in the commons a few years ago, but yet again it's been swept under the carpet.
  23. I don't. Some of us like keep our financial affairs in order. But I admire your confidence that there will be no overreach Lou.
  24. Like any decent human being I applaud the detection of fraud. However that doesn't detract from the fact that freezing pensions based solely on geography is monstrous. I'm also not happy with them acquiring information from banks without my knowledge. This may lead to banks who allow expats to run an account in the U.K. to stop as it's not worth the extra admin. and they will close accounts arbitrarily.
