  1. A twelve bottle pack costs 675b in Villa Market which works out to GBP 1.16 a pint.
  2. That's madness on the main road like that. 😞
  3. I've explained this in my post above.
  4. I have no idea what you're saying.
  5. Lol. No I mean I haven't bought the EV yet. I don't wear a helmet walking down the street.
  6. Many thanks.
  7. I think some people are misinterpreting why I bought a cheap pair. I have my main headphones of good quality which I use to listen to music. I'm very happy with them but because they're bluetooth I sometimes let the battery run down inadvertenty. As backup all I need is a cheaper pair so I can listen to radio or podcasts or Youtube etc. until they're recharged. They don't need to be high audio quality. I bought a pair of cheaper ones from Mr. D.I.Y before and they were surprisingly decent for the purpose of my intentions. Obviously if I wanted backup for the high quality headphones I would look elsewhere. I took a chance on another brand because the functionality looked better but it didn't work out. I should have purchased the other brand I know is better but that's life. It's only 310 baht so I could bin them, give them away or return them. No problem.
  8. 310 baht.
  9. They're young. They're not audiophiles.
  10. If I don't return them I'll give them to the kids next door. They'll be happy with a freebie.
  11. I think it varies. I returned a defective t.v. and it was quite painless.
  12. I bought a pair of cheap ones from them before but a different brand and they were o.k. for backup only. But these are awful; flimsy and dreadful sound quality. I thought I'd buy them as I like the more prominent controls on the outside. If I can just replace them with the other brand again I'll be happy. I'll try tomorrow.
  13. Today I bought a cheap pair of headphones in Mr D.I.Y. as a backup for my main headphones. I've tried them out and they're dreadful so I aim to return them. I know they have 7-day returns policy but is that just for defective goods or will they let me replace them with a pair that I know are better?
  14. No, because I haven't bought one yet. 🙂 Probably next month. I do on a motorbike.
  15. I'd have an EV bike but only for around the village, not out on the main road. And at 81 it's madness. RIP
  16. That's a great idea. They could combine curry eating with the 100 metre dash
  17. And cheese rolling.. Now that's tough
  18. You misunderstand the original concept of the modern Olympics. It was excellence in body and mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_competitions_at_the_Summer_Olympics "With the founding of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894, and the celebration of the first modern Olympic Games, French Baron Pierre de Coubertin saw the fulfillment of his ideals—men being educated in both mind and body, and competing in sport rather than war. One of his other desires was to combine both art and sport, and he thus considered including artistic competition in the Olympic Games. In May 1906, Baron de Coubertin organised a meeting in Paris for both IOC members and representatives of artists' organisations. The meeting ended with a proposal to the IOC to organise artistic competitions at the Olympic Games in five areas (architecture, literature, music, painting, and sculpture). The works of art entered had to be inspired by sports." Art and literature should be brought back. And I'd add knitting. And chariot racing. And voguing. 🙂
  19. I'm guessing you would have to be to walk along a line of riot police making gestures and stumbling into them. Would explain the beer cans that the crowd have obviously launched at them.
  20. He walked along the line making gestures, appears to tread on a can and sticks his head towards the officers shield. He's clearly been drinking which probably accounts for him moving towards the officer again. These are riot police. What did he expect? A bunch of roses?
  21. Also, he starts off clearly taunting the police then sticks his head into the police shield and is pushed away as a warning. He then stupidly sticks his head in again and is pushed forceably away this time. He goes down in instalments and wonders why he's been treated so harshly. 🙂 This was not protesting, it's incitement of the type used by football hooligans all the time. He got what he deserved and the policeman acted with commendable restraint in my opinion. These people are fooling no one.
  22. I'm not reading all that. a) I agree with everything you've said. b) That's all a load of BS. Pick one of the above.
