    Well I didn't notice whether he rang the bell or not, but certainly appears he stepped off the back while it was moving quite fast. Facing rearward too, so his feet would immediately be whipped from under him.

    It's ridiculous... I thought the cable burying project was done with there some time back and Walking street all got repaved and was actually looking quite good for the first time in ages. It was dismal over Covid! But no...... I was actually only commenting a few days ago while on 2nd Rd, looking down one of the 13s towards the sea..... 'look at all those cables I thought we had got rid of!'

    From what I hear Chinese are advertising on large billboards in Bangkok for staff already, so the takeover of Thailand is underway.

    Yeah, I have had that happen, they call to ask for some extra baht for some excuse or other. Being relatively far away from you, or there being heavy traffic in the way. That probably blocks other drivers picking up the fare on the App.

    He needs to sell shares in his bar business to anyone who will listen........I seem to recall that approach being used before in Walking St area (although they didn't stop at 100%) ...shhhh......the place still went tits up.

    Takes me back to many years ago and frequent breakfasts at Crazy Dave's, always enjoyed the fry-up and it was a bargain... served by a rather sour faced, unhappy bxtch!

    I don't recall it really looking like a pub, but then again I only ever went there for breakfast, or lunch meal.... perhaps it looked like one in the evenings with a few drinkers elbow on the bar, foot up on the foot rail?

    I read what was available here and the link and if he had just got off the driver would usually wait for the money... unless he paid from his seat through the little window.

    Sounds like an old scam i have heard of... and yes, I doubt they are Dubai citizens. With the liberal approach to Visa exempts we now have, expect more like them......beware of people with large bags on the songtaew.

    A lot of good eateries failed due to Covid. Pre Covid I had quite a variety around me and new ones popping up were common....felt sorry that Covid took away their investment. Now we mainly just have the ever expanding and dominating Pa Boon places.

    I do see them bring a bottle of scotch or maybe wine with them, and they are allowed to. But of course for the former the bar gets to supply ice, water and sodas. Taking food from elsewhere into a place that supplies food is very tacky...

    Suspicious that he seemed to leave the scene quickly.......link suggests the guy was trying to get off at the time.....you would expect the driver to be stopped waiting to be paid.

    The favorite go to Pharmacy for such aids has always been next to Tims......on 2nd Rd....Tim's (great place years past) is likely a weed shop or massage now, but I think Pharmacy is still there, opposite Lek Hotel.
