  1. Yes, chatting about buying a house and withdrawing large amounts of cash with fellow countrymen over a doobie is not the wisest approach to life!
  2. And with visa exempt, we welcome new levels of criminal behavior!
  3. Yes, 'assisted suicide' sounds possible in this case.
  4. Not sure how this evaluation was made. I have not seen police out doing checks in daylight hours since Prayut was in the big seat. I may see the odd ones at the scene of an accident, but that is rather 'bolting the stable door' somewhat.
  5. She seemed more than competent. I was not opposed to breaking up the treatments as it was a bit of discomfort I was glad to have a break from. I cannot really compare as I only ever had one root canal done. Perhaps treatment varies dependent on which tooth it is, in my case an upper wisdom. You don't know the particular dentist so your comments carry little weight, especially from someone who cannot take care of their teeth. I don't believe the BHP employs unqualified doctors. I would worry more of a street clinic. As I said, I didn't see the price excessive although the quoted cost of a crown at the end was, and I went back to my regular clinic at a lower price.
  6. We were more focused on eating in your car I believe. That would be out of paper bags and plastic, and I see as rather sad. I would at least take my food back to this wonderful veranda you talk of. Always amused by the concept of Chinese food in the USA, eaten out of cardboard containers, but of course we have to use chopsticks for that original ethnic feel! My Mrs cooks for me and we eat out of the veranda, my view is only of the garden. There is a place nearby set practically on the beach we eat at some times. I get a kick out of meeting a few western guys at Big-CX now and again, keeps the mind ticking over. Some of them do it every day which isn't my thing. One has to beware of becoming too insular.
  7. By the time they arrive the miscreants have had the boisterous attitude knocked out of them.
  8. Do they believe they have found 9 incorruptible people they can appoint?
  9. My experience seemed to differ. I had multiple sessions each of 15 -20 minutes. It was not my idea of fun either.
  10. You know what type of comments you are inviting! Aren't we meant to be focusing on Big-CX in Pattaya?
  11. Isn't there a brand new one on the ground floor, next to the Eastern car park doors. (Near where Subway used to be).
  12. Especially if they get into a few weed shops!
  13. It was less than I expected TBH, but you can only shop around. I was too lazy and impatient.
  14. My regular clinic sent me off to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya as she claimed not to possess the necessary equipment. I came back to her for the crown which saved some money.
  15. Well not the large area they used to occupy making noise. As you say there are groups of them dotted around now, I spotted the ones you mentioned that same day as I came in from that side of the car park.
  16. Wasn't a similar approach fostered by Clinton a component of the crash?
  17. If coming from out of town it is one of the easiest Malls to get into. Usually come down soi 36/1 and then Yume to access the car park at the rear. Easier than Central and T21 to get to. Also open earlier. I could no be so sad as to buy food and eat it in my car!
  18. A bit late to be looking at gold I suspect!
  19. A positive report on the actions of the lifeguard !
  20. Yes, but a strong baht keeps the cost down of the near 1 million barrels of crude oil per day they buy, which supports the economy.
  21. I was in there yesterday and it was pretty busy as you say. I find there are too many tables and they are packed a bit tight for walking around in there. I am not a fan of the thump thump bang music coming continuously from the kids play area from about 9.30 am too. Yes, many groups of falang use it as a socializing place and enjoy the cool AC. Many start with food and drink but stay longer than they consume, I always have at least a coffee, there must be about 10 places selling that! Glad the irritating crane games have been moved out. Did you take a look upstairs at Big-C, not even recognizable.
  22. I just read another thread that some sectors were booming and had 24% growth, now it is stagnating! If the currency is too strong that usually is a positive economic indicator,
  23. They were part of the corruption scandal being claimed when Mr T was trying to get Swampy opened way back when!
  24. True, but I have bought some items where there is an earth wire, but it is not incorporporated into the power plug, but a seperate wire fixed to a small bolt on the frame, that gets left unconnected.
