  1. thanks mate. I don't have an issue with doing it manually but I've gotten so used to doing things online that I've forgotten what A4 paper looks like ????
  2. hi Joe, will I be able to use this new system to do a 90-day report if I used an agent or am I bound to the physical report as part of that arrangement? NB. I'm still on 30 day VE, awaiting first ever conversion to non-O / retirement (due early next year)
  3. you sound like the dinosaurs I had the misfortune of meeting in Witherspoons a few nights ago. won't be going back there again LOL
  4. I'd rather have a red-hot poker shoved where the sun don't shine than drink a drop of that sh|te! ????
  5. yes I drink too much and my liver is suffering for it. so much so that I had to quit the beer a few days ago to detox. I've known for about six months that I needed to do this but hey I'm an alcoholic so what I can do? ???? I'm a lightweight in comparison to "real" drinkers but obviously my body could only tolerate so much abuse. I've tried going dry before but got bored and relapsed. hopefully I can make it stick this time and then find a way to move forward with my life that doesn't involve drinking loads of beer every day.
  6. this Atlanta place sounds like a godawfully boring place. where is it so I can avoid it?
  7. because we're total noobs and don't know about it? thanks for the tip I'll check it out ????
  8. I was at a speakeasy the other night at around 3 am and a copper came in ... to have a couple of beers ????
  9. it's great isn't it? i've been here since the 2nd and it seems to be picking up quite nicely.
  10. lol why would I want to lose money by keeping 800k in a Thai bank account getting zero interest when I can get at least 10% pa by investing it wisely? that's just plain silly
  11. I got the one that was suggested above: *777*7503# for max. speed 1.5 GB for 24 hours @ 25 baht. it needed a device reboot for the 5G signal to kick in. I found some other packages via a Google search and will test them out as soon as my 24 hours is up... https://www.ais.th/package/en/package_net_5g.html
  12. its mind-boggling but TIT right? I'm so glad you posted your question and that knowledgeable people like @mtls2005shared their knowledge. I'm in Pattaya and the 5G speed is heaps faster than what I was getting on 4G so I'm happier than a pig in you-know-what right now ????
  13. I just tried this and it works! speed test result was 261/109. so why did they tell me I couldn't get 5G unless postpaid and work permit? whatever, it's sorted now, thanks mate
  14. indeed. and nothing in the T&C's about the qualifying conditions that I was quoted. oh dear, how sad, never mind ????
  15. thanks mate, that makes me feel slightly better about not being able to get 5G because I'm a pesky tourist ????
  16. I just got here and went to the AIS shop in Central Pattaya. they were adamant that I could only get 5G on post-paid plan and not on a tourist visa. I just asked AIS contact centre about it and here is their responses: "Regarding your inquiry, for change or register postpaid plan we need your passport / work permit due to service condition, 5G main package now available only postpaid plan" "Regarding your concern. For convert this number XXXXXXXXXX to post paid we required these document please kindly check belowAnother person's Document. (Foreigner)- Original Passport with a Copy (Required)- Work permit (At least three months validity) OR- Original Certificate Employee from Employer (due not over one month) OR- Latest Payslip OR- Copy of House RegistrationPlease kindly inform me again if you have the document and confirm to convert the number. Hope you will stay safe during this COVID-19 situation."
  17. can confirm (arr. 1 Dec). the hotel gave me an info sheet with the QR code for the Mor Chana app but didn't force me to download it. I did anyway but it rejected my Thai Pass id so I gave up.
  18. thanks mate I'll check 'em out when I get over and get myself settled in with an actual address and all ????
  19. hi Sheryl, I followed your suggestion and went to see my GP about replacing Citalopram with Escitalopram before I leave. he agreed and wrote me a script for Lexapro 20mg. I vaguely recall that in another post you mentioned that the normal dosage is half that of Citalopram so I'm taking a half tablet every day and it's going very well. in fact the Lexapro is much "smoother" than the Cipramil. Thanks again for your assistance.
  20. "Frank" sounds like a bit of a lightweight. I thought all Pattaya Poms were ex-SAS hard men ????
