  1. "But I must go! Don't you know that I'm the de facto Prime Minister?"
  2. Pattaya bar owners must have a business-death-wish. "Any trouble from tourists, beat them up! .... Derr ... ma bwain herts."
  3. CCP Officials: "The coast is clear. The Thais have gone home. Now arrest the Uyghurs and take them to the concentration camps for organ harvesting to send a message to other Uyghurs who are thinking of fleeing. If the Thais return to check up, we'll show them other Uyghurs. The Thais won't remember their faces."
  4. "We want to go back to Xinjiang to have our organs llive-harvested." ... I doubt it.
  5. I'm 68 now. It's a full hour to drive to the IO. I don't live in a city. I'm hoping that by the time I'm 85 onwards, Immigration will have discovered how to use the internet to enable annual visa extensions to be done online. Or, and this is even less likely to happen, I'm hoping that Immigration will decide to extend the marriage visa for more than one year at a time. I like to dream of impossible things.
  6. I realise that the government needs tax money to develop the coun try. But ... it is a common belief that there is a 35% Rule. The rule states that 35% of the National Budget disappears in corruption. That equals over one trillion Baht per year. If political corruption could be reduced by even only 35%, there would be more than enough money in the national coffers.
  7. "In the wake of the debate, lawyer Kerdphol Kaewkerd confirmed that Srichala's tattoo is legally permissible in Thailand, clarifying that she broke no laws despite the backlash." So, leave her be. It's her choice.
  8. Just my opinion since my wife and I treat and prevent ailments with natural foods. I realise that you might reject the premise that foods prevent and cure medical problems, but Google search "how to treat varicose vein problems with food". It's a shame to spend so much money when the cause of the problem might be what you eat and your lifestyle.
  9. I'm happy to buy cheap items from Lazada, but not a laptop. It will probably come from China, and I don't want one from there.
  10. She will die in a Thai prison. 4 kgs? Maybe she'll get the death sentence even.
  11. I don't know why he has suddenly decided to apologise, but at least he has done so.
  12. 5 years in a Thai prison! ... The thought is enough to make me stay a good boy.
  13. Message to Foreigners: Before committing a crime read the books about life in a Thai prison, look at the photographs of prison and Immigration detention cells, and also watch the videos about them. You may then decide to change your mind about what you have planned.
  14. Perhaps it is no wonder that the British Embassy in Thailand doesn't help their citizens when they have problems. Some are the worst of the worst!
  15. Pattaya isn't a good place to go for a holiday unless you want a prostitute and lots of alcohol. If ordinary thieves don't rob you, the katoeys or the bar girls will. High prices and overcharging abound.
  16. I don't think karma is a concept familiar to westerners generally. Certainly, Ian has no understanding of it because if he did he would know that bad things are going to happen to him as a result of swindling his (ex-)wife. He should repay the money as best he can and apologize.
  17. In my opinion, you would become happy by spending time alone in nature for a few months. You seem to have lost the connection with your true self, with your true nature. Human beings are spiritual beings, not material beings. You'll never find true happiness with beer bars, nightclubs, bar girls, sex, money, and materialism. When you discover your spiritual self, you'll discover happiness. Until then, you'll simply be wandering from one thing to another in pursuit of happiness when ironically is to be found inside you and closer than your life's vein. ... If you want unconditional love in abundance, look after two rescued cats. I have 26. ... I wish you happiness!
  18. I remember this problem in the 1980s when you couldn't get a work permit without a long-term visa or a long-term one without a work permit. In practice, the officials at the Songkhla Labour Department just worked around the stupidity.
  19. Firstly, the dowry is a major obstacle. I married an orphan, so this wasn't a factor. (Not a bar girl, by the way, but a factory worker.) Secondly, the cost of decent education is a looming problem for couples. International school fees are already prohibitive. Lastly, I have been lucky to find a pure gem of a wife who enjoys the simple things of life and doesn't want the material life that city women desire so much.
  20. My daughter has just backed out of a pool villa housing project in Hua Hin. The project increased the house's price by 500,000 baht at the contract-signing stage. We said "No, thank you. Bye, bye!"
  21. You have completely, utterly, and 100% missed his point.
  22. The criminal obviously won't return to Thailand, but he might go to other S.E. Asian countries, not knowing that there may be extradition agreements around the region that will bring him back to Thailand. One way or another, karma will catch up with him either in this world or the next. Good luck, criminal!
  23. If you can't speak Thai here, it's easy to have problems. If this happened to me, I'd tell the Police and the others that they'll be appear on Channel 3 midday news with Num f they don't sort this out fairly znd quickly.
  24. I wouldn't have told the Police in case they arrested me for drug possession. I'd have disposed of the drugs. I don't trust the Police to understand.
  25. I find American women to be scary. Horror films don't need zombies, just American Karen's. Even zombies would flee when faced with a Karen. LOL!
