Unfortunately it's all too late and almost impossible to prove so late afterward. Unfortunately this looks like a painful 20k lesson and useful warning to others. everyone carries a phone these days and therefore a video camera. Video a walk a round the bike or even a car before and after that may help in some circumstances as its date stamped. Sad but not uncommon story.

Once upon a time(2005), I met this "lady of the night" in Bangkok, I wasnt interested in her services, I was just sat people watching, it was late and she was tired and we sat shared a drink and a few laughs just whiled away an hour or so with idle chit chat. Long story short, she asked if she could stay in my room ? I reminded her that I wasn't buying. She explained she wasn't from Bangkok and just came down for the weekend to make some money and was going "hone" in the morning. She seemed decent enough, so what the hell I said Ok. She made an advance awhile later and I reminded her again that I wasnt buying, she replied, no, this is a thank you for letting me stay. She rocked my world that night,we shared breakfast in the morning and she was gone. Often reflect on that night and never experienced anything quite like that ever again.

I dont "know" for sure, but I would have thought that if the name and number doesnt match, the receiving bank would not process it and return it. Otherwise whats the point of putting any name at all.

I would have thought that as a mature adult, most are quite capable of ignoring others without the need for software assistance.
