  1. Nothing new, I've played baseball many times over the years in 115-118f..... I learned VERY quickly not to use the stadium handrails
  2. My wife is the 1st university graduate from her family.... She worked 17 years for a Nissan manufacturing subsidiary in a management position.... She's a full time housewife & our oldest daughter just became the 2nd uni grad in the family.... My wife is quite content with her gardening & caring for the rest of us + pets.....Which she does splendidly.....
  3. Check Chiang Mai removals....They store - including vehicles....
  4. Anyplace strewn with unrecoverable bodies of conditioned, able climbers that failed, littering the trail gets an easy pass (no) from me....
  5. Ergo his 14 y/o daughter....
  6. Really? It's been about 3 years since our last visit.....We camped out & enjoyed the in park sights, services, and meals.... 6 people, 3 tents and not a bad moment among us.... It's disconcerting to hear otherwise....
  7. Fang Hot Springs & star gazing....
  8. Dire Straits - Bob Seger & some good Elvis tunes 60's edition, when his voice was clear as a bell.....
  9. I'm a rum & coke guy....In Big C & Lotus there's a white rum marketed as Uncle Tom.... It's in a square shaped bottle.... I find it smooth, with a good taste.... They market 3 products, I just look for the square bottle with a red R label....It's 279B, so an easy taste test to see if it agrees with you.....
  10. Yeah, I've seen that too in some of the beach cities.... Reminded me of Easter Island.... Poor guys, seem lost and disconnected....
  11. It was a simpler town when I moved to Hang Dong....You could drive in, park easily, and explore, shop, dine and enjoy the city....For a fairly large city it still had an intimate feel to it....I got by speaking English - which was part of the appeal....Just about anything needed or necessary was basically on tap..... Now, years later we live in San PaTong & go to the city as needed for errands or take visitors around .... The intimate vibe has changed....But, upon seeing some of the other parts of TH - I find that I still prefer it here....
  12. Somewhere between 2/3 to 1/2 a bottle left.... Nothing crazy.....
  13. I usually unwind at home on Saturday nights with some rum & cokes - we usually karaoke for couple of hours.... Once finished the bottle goes away until the next Saturday.... HOWEVER - today was a <deleted> day that really shouldn't have been & I'd probably welcome one, but won't..... There wasn't a poll choice that fit me.....
  14. That's only 6.7" ???
  15. Just what the world needs....????
  16. There's a pharmacy in the Hang Dong Lotus that I believe had them.... Also, check the Fascino pharmacy in your area....They display many large aids for the infirmed & surely can have/order/get a bed..... Sign up for their discount card....
  17. This is a very complete store for archery & camping..... All Coleman camping + everything archery.....
  18. Here in San PaTong we just switched to the municipal water supply after years of getting it from catch, as catch can.....We have a pump & tank that we've used for the past few years because of low water pressure about 40/50% of the time..... The new Muni system has provided adequate water since we adopted it....With few interruptions.....They installed new mainlines as well as lines & gauges at each house .... I walk past the main valves / slash hydrants a few times every day walking the pooch....The PSI is a little over 20#....For a time it was closer to 30#..... I'm unsure if they have throttled back to meet the demand or it has equalized over time.....The 20# psi seems to give enough water to meet the mubaan's demand.....No need for pump/tank assist.... Each house in our area does have it's own well - which my wife uses for her gardening.... Only one time have we had to augment our tank from the well and that was from a major system failure somewhere upstream from us..... Up until now, everywhere we lived in the Hang Dong area has had random water supply problems.... Our current situation is the most stable, adequate water supply in 10 years....
  19. She overcame a lot & had several peaceful decades.... I was fortunate enough to see her perform.... R.I.P.

My acceptance & subsequent new reporting date - issued by the computer for online reporting fell about 7 days before the manually processed date that I had been given at the last drive through.....
  23. Monk robes must be expensive.....23k each....?
  24. A few years back before the reconfiguration, Kad Farang had small streets with a few going bars to choose from....Many pleasant evenings to be had there .....
