These are the latest requirements (as of last week) from Banglamung DLT for a 5 year renewal (with a one year visa or extension ie: marriage or retirement). A visit (in person) is required to make an appointment, which is usually in about 2-3 weeks. The list also has the date and time of your appointment. Cost is 505 baht for car only. Hope this clarifies most posters questions. Happy driving.

Actually this is very clever.. genius. He, as a trusted inmate, is allowed to leave the prison every day with his work crew at different areas around Bangkok. Of course after assigning his workers to their jobs, he will be whisked away for the day by the family blackened window Mercedes van, to shower and eat properly, chat with the family and PT politicians, then whisked back to the work site before the prison van arrives to take them all back. Amazing ingenuity on someone's part.😃
