  1. Very simple, in general wear mask at all times outside your home/room, except when sitting down to eat or drink, or when swimming. Some provinces might have local exclusions, for example Phuket when doing exercise.
  2. Normally when you buy a new dishwasher and similar products from for example HomePro, installation is included in the price - or very cheap to buy as service - and they will gladly help you to get rid of the old unit...????
  3. I was wondering about the facts behind the prediction, but it seems like they used the TAT-calculator...

  5. Normally Thai ID-card are photocopied with both front and back on the same paper.
  6. No, checked by Thai tax authorities. The Danish tax-system is very strict and knows almost all - even Big Brother would envy a surveillance like that on citizens - we were checked it taxes were paid at home, presumably to also check if there would be something left to be taxed in Thailand; bear in mind Double Taxation Agreement, and what can be taxed by the other state, or by both states. I would love to pay income tax in Thailand; of course instead of Denmark... In my case the two polite women were amazed of how much tax I had paid in Denmark. Other Danes have told and posted same reaction, when they showed proof on paid income tax - unfortunately not much left for others to tax...???? - don't forget that Denmark is number one in the whole World when it comes to high taxation, amazing that the taxation-rate didn't caused a revolution long time ago...
  7. Sadly incidents like this always hit hardest on those that can't afford it, as they for example already hardly can afford proper roofs, nor accident insurance.

  10. They are more rarely used, it's said, but I always keep them, when I'm lucky to receive one, so I have a 50-baht note when I'm paying my not so rare water bills of 250 baht...????

  12. PR Thai Government's guidelines for Covid-boosters... The Department of Disease Control has disclosed the guidelines for booster doses for three groups of people. People aged 18 years and above should get a third dose three months after the second dose and get the fourth dose four months after the third dose. Those who get Pfizer as a booster dose can choose to get half of the dose, under the judgment of physicians and the voluntary choice of vaccine recipients. People aged 12-17 years should get an mRNA vaccine, a normal dose, as a third dose and should get it 4-6 months after the second dose. And those who have been infected with COVID-19 should get vaccinated in accordance with the rules for people who have never got the vaccine before and should be vaccinated three months after getting the infection.
  13. The Danish expats have been checked last year, if they have paid taxes at home of their income; we needed to show proof for that. The tax-man - actually a pair of polite women - said that also Finish residents were checked, and that was the beginning of checking up on, if foreigners had paid their income tax abroad. It might be depending of the individual Double Taxation Agrements, some says that for example "retirement pensions can be taxed in both states".
  14. Very simple, if you stay in Thailand for more than 180 days within a calendar year, you are fully tax-resident in that year. If you are due any income tax is another matter, depending our your source of funds and eventual double taxation agreement(s)...
  15. Seems like there is no brake pedal in the driving-instructor's side of the car...????
  16. It's freedom of speech to let both sides explain their view, so from that point of view a fair move.

  18. It's not abnormal in other countries that politics stay in the family, even in my otherwise very democratic home country Denmark, and US also had a Kennedy-clan.

  23. As I understand the text, it says: If you are under 50 years old, and not married to a Thai, and wish to stay long time in the kingdom without being forced to work on a work permit to cover your living expenses, but rather enjoy Land of Smiles full time, then you and your foreign family have an outstanding chance here, if you pay 1 million baht for an Elite Card-membership and has equivalent to a million US-dollars - or the real stuff - laying to no use in a drawer... Welcome to amazing Thailand...
